Thank You, America. - by Nicker

Yeah but that's more because you seem to barely know anything about your own country, let alone anyone elses'. The barrier isn't geography, it's ignorance.
As an analogy, would you say
"HOW DARE THESE DOCTORS TELL ME THINGS ABOUT MY HEALTH WHEN THEY'RE NOT LIVING MY LIFESTYLE WHAT THE FUCK"
...actually, maybe you would?

Which segues us nicely back to our original squabble.
The American Dream is just that. The US has the worst social mobility of any of its peers by a long shot. But it at least improves a little with each Democratic presidency though declines with Republican innings. Social Democracies always have better social mobility. Anyone who actually gave a damn about Americans and by proxy America would take note, not wallow in angry self pity because you pay some taxes.
Stop being a twat and do something about it.

Oh, that is rich. "Here come the foreign doctors to swoop in and identify what's wrong with the U.S. Don't worry, they can fix it!" Get a clue man.

Oh, here comes jay again. Seems like you hate the U.S. at more than the average person with talk like that. Why don't YOU do something about it?

By all means, supply us with your finely-crafted bullet-point plan for US economic recovery. Also, healthcare reform.
I am genuinely fascinated.

Ah see, there you go again, jumping to conclusions and assuming you understand who I am and what I believe in.
Yeah man, I mean, what the fuck

Do you ever talk with homeless people? There are plenty around here and they are perfectly happy staying homeless.
You're an idiot if you want unmotivated and uneducated people deciding how to run the country.
The whole point is "I know much better how to run my life than the government" so "Stay the hell out!".
Some ignorant slobs don't know how to manage their personal finances or don't feel like working, hence the need for government programs.

Don't get your panties in a bunch because you can't grasp the concept of conservative government. I suppose you think things are just peachy all across the US but eventually it will be time to wake up and turn things around. Things have really changed over the last 5-10 years. So you think I'm wrong for expressing my dissatisfaction over this based on my personal experiences?

The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools, such as those who made him their president.
Oh well, nevermind

Ironic that many of you "so-called experts" on the U.S. don't even live here. It's offensive and repugnant. You won't see me telling you about your own country, and as such, anything you have to say about my country when you don't even reside here is complete rubbish.
Tell me your opinion of Iran please. Or Afghanistan. Or Iraq. Or is Fox News simply enough?

Boy, we sure have a lot of psychologists posting in this thread don't we?
Wrong choice of words faetal. If someone is actually trying to improve their situation, I think they deserve assistance. If they do nothing and sit back for years because they can coast on government assistance, this I have a problem with.
Where are your figures for how many are sitting back doing nothing vs. how many are trying? Also it's not new knowledge that when you take away opportunity, eventually apathy creeps in. Look at any of the places in the UK where the mining industry was destroyed and now see entire communities of people who are totally disenfranchised. Meaning they feel like they are not included in the nation which they are supposed to contribute to, on account of there being nothing for them to aspire to. I'm not a psychologist, I'm a toxicologist, I just understand how statistics and equilibrium dynamics work. Your disdain for an educated take on the situation is pretty telling.

Hey, that's exactly what my expectation is as well: "an educated take on the situation". The general attitude I'm getting from you is one of "Hey, I'll find a way to tear down whatever this guy says". Since you attitude is not much different when we're talking about games, I can conclude that you're just a contentious person in general. Why should I even continue acknowledging your posts when I already know what to expect?
How about you prove me wrong?

Probably because it's so easy.
