That's a horrible plan; O2's iPhone plans basically charge £10 for unlimited data usage (but not tethering).

I think if you wrangle them you can get $30/6gb, which is fine, I'd never go over that limit, but of course you also have to play for the voice plan, call-ID, etc. It's a monopoly over here.

Ugh. That's not Rogers Telecom by any chance? I'd heard they were an absolute nightmare to deal with generally.

Don't complain, either of you. My plan runs me $125 a month for internet, 500 minutes, and 250 text messages. Not exactly a grand amount of anything considering the price I pay. It wouldn't be so bad if I could drop down to a 2GB plan for about $10 a month...but oh no, I absolutely have to have unlimited for $50.
It's just...egggh. And I'm stuck with it for two years. Stupid me for actually agreeing to it all.

They're called Rogers Communications. Might be the same company you're talking about. I haven't actually gone into one of their stores yet to find out the
actual price, but the websites aren't promising. Rogers (and its subsidiary, Fido) are the only companies that currently offer the iphone in canada.

Ah yeah, just checked and Rogers Telecom is a subsidiary of Rogers Communications.
And Renz, that is just crazy pricing D:

Interesting prices. Here I pay O2 6 for a month of unlimited data. The catch is that it's GPRS/EDGE. Orange's most advantageous data plan is 2GB via UMTS for 9. Still, as I don't need telly in my celly, I'm fully satisfied with O2.
I presume O2's £10 are for UMTS transfer, because for GPRS it would be ridiculously high.

How much data do you guys actually end up using? I've never owned a smartphone, so I don't know about the transfer speeds, application sizes, etc. I can't imagine doing too much other than looking up maps, occasional youtube and wikipedia.
