Favourite map so far is Rowena's Curse, piece of art that.

I'm sure most would appreciate the enthusiasm, but just to be Technically Correct Man for a minute... no one calls them maps and/or mapsets. If you're going to be streaming FMs I imagine FM authors might want you to use the proper terminology. I'm only a lowly voice actor though, so don't take my words as law.
Rowena's Curse is one of the classics, so you've picked a solid starting point. Pretty much anything Lady Rowena ever put out was great- I'm pretty sure The Seven Sisters campaign is on most everyone's favourites list.

Technically Correct Man or Mr Nitpick?

Both. :p

As a fellow VO artist (irrelevant point anyway ;) ), I think you should have given the OP the correct term you think is appropriate and acceptable to FM authors. It seems rude to me that you admonish someone for not using the correct term, but then don't provide the one you feel is kosher... :joke: I bet you love key hunts too.

My Stream was labelled Thief 2 Fan Missions, thats 10 lashings from Lady Azamlarg for messing up the OP :( . Also thank you for your service mate!

What are you talking about? Key hunts are the
only way to design a mission, the more pixel hunting the better! There must also be a lock that takes about 3 weeks to pick on a chest that contains a worthless vase (contained in either the sewer section or the crate maze, obviously). It's the law! :joke:
In all seriousness, I take your point about being wishy-washy with terminology. To be clear: my stance is that correct terms are "Fan Mission"- FM for short, and either "Fan Mission Author" (FM Author) or "DromEder".
@Tortuga I wasn't intending to be rude, by the way- just trying to correct what I saw as minor misrepresentation. I'm sorry I derailed your well-meaning thread, and good luck with the streaming!

I thought the hierarchy went something like: campaign then mission. An FM can be both. If 2 or more missions, then it is a campaign. A map is the structure of a mission (such as the streets and building - albeit this is a very simplistic example). I thought the OP was giving thanks to all that make good maps (layouts if you will). This is what I thought the OP was referring to. Well I guess I got that one wrong myself. He's talking about the makers of the whole FM.
So yes, thanks to all FM creators (even the crappy ones) for their work. Tortuga, if you have not yet played the FMs from “The Crap Contest”, check them out. Some are really hilarious. :)
