What a wonderful new announcement that you are coming back to DromEd. :) You were sorely missed Chiefie! Are you still flying? Yes your first mission was a doozie and not to be missed by any of the newer players since...whenever! :D I haven't played FM's for awhile as I've been sadly delayed in getting my Thief machine back from my good friend and Computer Tech guy.
I'm on a newer machine recently built a couple of months ago but not set-up for Thief since I don't need to duplicate etc. Lots to catch up when I do get the other back for sure !!!! LOL
Good Luck with new project and I'm sure it will be just as surprising and interesting to play as the first! :)

Hello Huntress! So nice to hear from you. I'm dusting off the dromed and relearning it. I've been caught up playing World At War on Xbox live for some time. WWII shooters are addicting too.
It's funny how lately I've been trying to remember what I made in part 2 and it has my interest up. I remember when I put it down years ago I was trying to tweak the new alarm system. If the baddies set it off the little killer was too darn good at tracking me down and dispatching me pronto. Part of the trouble was seeing it before it saw you. And if it saw you first you don't have time to pucker.

So WWII's have gotcha huh? That's a genre that I've left alone for you guys! :D I'm much more into ARPG's and have a pretty good time with those, i.e. Dark Messiah M&M, all Dungeon Siege's, bought Titan Quest but not installed yet as well as Gothic 3 (which had many bugs but patches and community fixes should make it OK I think) and Sacred 1 plus Underworld. I also have in my library Fallout 3 but again not installed yet till I figure out what's causing machine to shutdown. I downloaded demo of Bioshock recently and while in options menue making choices, machine shutdown on me? I also had downloaded Far Cry demo and had been playing it OK but have not gone back into yet or even Messiah, which had been playing fine for me, so I don't know now whether these games will even play now as I'm afraid to find out. heh I am trying to make some changes that I hope might help overall but will have to wait till my friend recovers from his injuries. In the last year, including about a month ago, took some bad falls. In one injured his leg and the other his back. :(
I bought Sacred 2 but again many problems with it and even with patches has been a bad experience for me and many others with crashes. I have the last patch but not installed it as players complained about many new bugs were introduced as well as some old ones still not addressed. :( My machine keeps shutting down after various times of play from 5,10 or at most 20 mins or so of playtime. It's really a strange behaviour because when I first played demo or even the retail, I could play for several hours but then thereafter I could only play for a few minutes as described above? They(?) made a small proggie that would empty out the temp files related to the game itself so it would not retain any of the crash info to associate with the next playtime. It would seem however, that in addition to the game itself having many problems, I appear to be having somesort of overheat problems but why now and not early on in both scenerios??? Once the crash happens then every play after is affected as to shortened playtime. Very confusing.
See you in the shadows and tc. :)

If the machine is over a year old, remove the side access panel and clean the dust bunnies out of there and the filters by your fans and on the graphics card.
I played Assassin's Creed and Bioshock as well.

but no, this machine was built for me by my Son in November but it was not used till about a month later I think. It was working fine till I started playing Sacred 2 (demo of course would have problems but as was said played for many hours though most of it before crashes started) and same thing with retail as far as first time play. So machine is virtually new.
System specs: Gigabyte GA-M57SLI-S4 Socket AM2+; AMD Athlon 64X2 5400 2.8Ghz; Sapphire HD3850 1Mg; Creative XFi Extreme Gamer; Pioneer DVD Record/Play CD combo; 320 HD SATA 4 partitions and 550W PS and using XP SP3. I have two small case fans (all it would support size) and there's supposed to be a place for one more, slightly larger, but Son could not find placement for it. I have purchased an air-cleaner cooler that goes in a drive bay and a newer more powerful PS, mainly cause it has four rails and a nice large fan, 120mm. These have to be installed by my friend whenever. Son that built machine lives about 60mi away and really doesn't want to do anything more with it now. I'm very grateful he even did that much for me. :)
So thanks for the suggie anyways. ;)

OK np. If you have the dimensions of the fan I may have one for you. But in reality 2 smaller ones can flow better sometimes.
The Fire Eater on 28/4/2009 at 20:47
thank you so much for your replies and concern. As far as the fans go, the two in are 8mm and the other one I have is 9mm, which he could not find where it was supposed to go? There was no diagram as to where they should go. Only said it would support three; one on side, one in back and supposed to be other in front? I can only hope the drive bay air-cleaner/cooler might be a good alternate for that. ;) Besides I know cigarette smoke can be harmful over time from the nicotine and for $10.00 figured it was a good idea in any case.
Now get to work! :D

Thank you very much, it means a lot.
If I could tear myself away from Call Of Duty World at War enough I'd learn Dromed again and finish part two "Waypoint".

I really like the alarm search and destroy killer but it's too good.
The alien ship is kinda spooky.
It has cool gadgets (blast doors, engine room, people mover etc.)
