The whole point of the tree beasts appearing behind the cemetery is to make it impossible to finish the mission by that back (easy) route, to force you back through the castle to make you encounter the hammerites that have spawned. Face it, the hammerites are fun. Chief originally suggested blocking the way with a landslide, but I said that was a
deus ex machina, and it would be better to have a natual foe. So, putting in speed and invisio to get past the treebeasts would spoil the mission, in my opinion. If you did get past the treebeasts, that only means that Chief needs to put more of them in there.;)

Hi all. Yeah I made some mistakes here and there but my goal was to make an FM where you could have a boat load of fun.
Have the treebeasts chase you into the castle where they can meet new friends.
Shoot the red skull with a broadhead and throw it's dead cranium into a window below.
Put the drawbridge up and do a swan dive into the moat. (Watch out for the fish)
BTW,
What is your favorite creature?
Floating skulls?
Statue Guards?
Glass Hammerites?
Dragon's Teeth?
GraveyardGhosts?
Fish?
BigFrank?

Tree beasts are evil. Hammerites are fun, you can throw them. hehee..... Haunt duels! Haunt vs Hammer. Or zombie vs hammer! Or... treebeast vs hammer. Or ghost vs hammer. Or... dragon's tooth skeleton vs hammer! :cheeky: :p ;)

Apparently I did run through the treebeasts on my quick way out of the cemetary...sorry, I didn't know I wasn't supposed to. I wasn't exactly assessing all my options very logically at that point.
That explians why everyone has been so spazzed about the spawned hammerites...I only saw a crowd at the front gate I could easily slip past, so they weren't much trouble.
One question: what's so special about the dragon's teeth? I never noticed anything interesting about them...they just sat there in my inventory. What did I miss, what did I miss??!!

Try throwing one. :)

Re: Dragon's teeth. I get it---from Jason & the Golden Fleece, right?
It's nice to see the balance of power shifted a little... :sly:

Exactly!

Help, I'm trapped.
I got down to the portal gate, opened it with my key. Discovered I needed another key for the portal. Tried to go back up the ladder, and it's now blocked. What's worse is that I saved my game after opening the portal gate.
If there is a way out, please let me know.:)
Otherwise, if I have to restart the mission, then screw that. I already put 2 hours into it and found all the loot. Purposely designing a fm so that the player is permanently trapped after a couple hours of play is not a very good way to treat a fan.:grr:
