Right that's it, I have decided this warrants a thread all of its own.
I have no problem with this bug but I thought it might make for an amusing topic.
I'm sure I'm not the only warrior / thief / mage, that has picked up the adoring fan from Imperial City following Arena success. And what a delightful little chap he is, always ready to stoke the ego ("Golly you're the best") or handy with a torch.
The amusement however comes not from him as such, but rather from his talent for dying and resurrection. Monsters and enemies alike all seem to latch onto him first when they should be attacking me. And I have watched him be torn, hacked, slashed, and suffocated to death many times.
Great fun but even better when he pops up later on in the game apparently for no reason. I was delighted to find him inside a tower on the planes of oblivion last time.
Anybody else had similar reincarnatory happenings?

Hahaha. That's funny. I haven't messed around with him much. I only used him for Soul Trap once. I vote him the new Fargoth!

Yay, Adoring Fan stories! A friend who has the game turned around after breaking into someone's house at night and the Adoring Fan was standing there staring at him. Naturally his reflex action was to kill him, at which point the house's owner woke up and shouted "Murderer!" and went back to bed. :weird:

I haven't done much with him either, but I think it was Bethesda's intention to make a new Fargoth for Oblivion ;)

I had a really wacky thing happen with that fellow on one of my earlier run-throughs of the game:
I entered a cave filled with trolls for a quest and had the adoring fan in tow behind me. I told him to stay-put at the entrance to the cave while I went and did my thing. Half an hour later I returned to where I left him (which, as far as I knew didn't contain any monsters) only to find my adoring fan stapled to a wall by his hands :weird: Upon closer inspection it seemed he was killed by something and his hands got 'stuck' inside the wall, but suffice to say it was a spooky sight when I expected him to be waiting there for me unharmed. I never did find out what killed him.
Darn Bethesda and their disabling of screenshots by default :nono:

It's the music that makes that first one perfect.
