That's because they are - they're explosion animations from System Shock 2.
Last March an SS2 mod-pack was released by a user, Vurt, at (
https://www.nexusmods.com/systemshock2/mods/5?tab=files) https://www.nexusmods.com/systemshock2/mods/5?tab=files
One of them is an explosion mod for bitmap\txt16\ in dds format
Not sure if there would be cross compatibility or what other SS2 mods/tweeks might work on ND for T2, but I wanted to add my 2 cents (keep the change)

its its on the floor to the right side of the room
I am wondering if there is an Air key to be found?

As far as I remember, the Air key is held or kept by your employer, Velleme. And you can get four keys.

Updated to version 1.4 - just a bigfix release fixing various small issues, most of which were reported to me by fortuni.

Thanks for the new update 1.4, was great to replay this fantastic mission :thumb:
I just wonder why you decided to change the diary from the bored guard. I found it super funny how he was going on about putting a cheap ring in front of the main door, hoping for a thief to come in. It was unusual and refreshing. Now it´s just a normal diary which can be read like pretty much every diary in every second thief fanmission.

One of the reasons I rewrote it was because I felt that the over-the-top "dumb guard" phonetic writing was really unfair on anyone who wasn't a native English speaker.
The other reason was because it was a bit too blatant at poking fun at Thief mission tropes, which was a bit immersion-breaking.
I decided to change it to be a bit more subtle - instead, the joke is that a guard lost his ring, which you can find, but it's not valuable because he's just a guard and can't afford a gold ring.
Edit: I thought I'd explained this before:

I changed the diary because it was making too many fourth-wall-breaking jokes at the expense of fan mission tropes, which while amusing to people who've played a lot of missions, wasn't actually a diary that a real person would have written.
I left the ring there because of two reasons - one, because it makes sense for a guard to have a cheap ring and not an expensive gold one, which also subverts that cliched FM trope, and two, because it has a unique and interesting "bug" that I intentionally didn't fix, being that it's the only item in the mission which
persists through portal journeys, allowing you to drop it in one area and find it in another, revealing how the mission is put together from a technical perspective.

how do you cross lava pit
baeuchlein on 8/2/2022 at 14:15
uhai, if you mean the lava you find when just you have entered the part of the mission with the lava pit/river, then you can either try to run towards the edge of the lava river, and jump over it at the last split second, or you can try to shoot the "bridge" (arcs) above the river which will collapse and leave some rocks in the lava. The latter way is usually easier.

Thanks so much never thought to do that.
