Me too! I never got my MP on.
What?! I've offered you before. The co op is great.
Scots, you're on, but why on earth have you not got it for the single player? It's glorious.

Did you know...
...that Minecraft is not a game because it doesn't have a goal?

Semantics of sandbox gameplay aside, it has a final boss and a credits roll now, so it does have a "goal".

I've gone through a massive gaming hiatus. Back on it now pretty solidly though.
Just bought Portal 2 for $7.50 USD in the Steam Sale.

This is true, but sadly RL issues meant that I was severely curtailed at that point.

So after about 2hrs and 40mins playing Portal 2 I'm at 19/22 in GladOS's chambers. God she's funny and mean. Great game.

It's been half a year, more or less. Ok less. And considering all the great games that got released late in 2011, I'm thinking a revision of our Best Of 2011 lists might be in order. I know I wanna revise my list anyway! YALL DO WHAT YA WANNA!
Henke's "Top Ten MORE LIKE TOP FIFTEEN Games of 2011"
New entries in bold.
01. Frozen Synapse (PC)
02. Dark Souls (X-BOX 360)
03. Batman: Arkham City (X-BOX 360)
This is what it looks like when gameplay, story, characters and setting all work great together. This game has gesamtkunstwerk coming out the wazoo.
04. Deus Ex: Human Revolution (PC)
05. Skyrim (X-BOX 360)
I didn't like any of the earlier Elder Scrolls games, but I had 60 fun hours with this. The combat is meaty and the exploration is it's own reward. Still haven't finished it. Will get back to it eventually.
06. Portal 2 (PC)
07. L.A. Noire (X-BOX 360)
08. Saint's Row 3 (X-BOX 360)
Best missiondesign of any sandboxy crime-game I've played so far. The game starts off with you falling out of the sky while dodging bullets and just gets crazier from there on.
09. Dead Island (PC)
Great gameplay and a world that's a lot of fun to explore gets dragged down a bit by occasional glitches, a boring 3rd act and a terrible final bossfight.
10. Test Drive Unlimited 2 (PC)
11. Driver: SF (X-BOX 360)
It was fun, and the possession-mechanic was novel and cool, but the driving never felt quite right to me. I know I'm gonna be alone in rating TDU2 higher than this but just getting to cruise through TDU2's open landscapes felt better to me than this more action-packed romp.
12. The Little Crane That Could (iPad)
13. APB: Reloaded (PC)
14. Dead Space 2 (PC)
15. Off-Road Drive (PC)
Who needs high-speed racing games when you can experience the heartpounding excitement of trying to pull yourself out of a muddy ditch!
