I did not try the crate tricks to get to the top of the hotel, but I managed to get the golden egg for a total of 1100 of 1100 loot. After 21 minutes, I found and defeated the last of the three haunts in the sewers. The mission then ended.

Bestest FM 2 reminds me of times when I used to build Lego "fairgrounds" when I was little: random, haphazardly constructed buildings and "attractions" for my little Lego figures. This mission has the same playful feel. Not like a real environment, rather like a space where someone got creative without taking things too seriously.

After reading your and the other mentions of the crate trick I went back and spent over an hour to sort-of master it to "travel" from the top of the elevator over to the top of the big wheel and then rescue the corpse. I put him and the chap I brought down from the top of the hotel (unconcious) together on the ghost train ride to go round and round before getting the last haunt to chase me out into the open air.

Very enjoyable. :D
