Fallout 3 has its moments.
IMO
Fallout 3, like
Oblivion, is one of those games where the visuals can go from downright stunning (looking down on the Imperial City at sunrise can be gorgeous as hell) to dowdy and ugly, especially when you're looking at things from close-up. Both games also work much better in screenshots than in motion, due to the animations being acceptable at best, horrible at worst.
I'm currently playing
Uncharted on the PS3 and am digging how great it looks, both technically and artistically. Right now I can't think of many PC games who get both of those as right.

ARMA II graphics are pretty incredible - at certain points it
looks real. Like when you take off in a helicopter or are running through a forest, it's like you're there. As far as I know, it's one of the most realistic games in terms of combat, navigation, sound and graphics - the 'lifelike' size of the levels plays no small part either. You might not like this kind of game, but if you want your eyes to pop out, put this on maximum graphics and take off in a helicopter. It's just stunning. In my opinion, it is the 'best looking' video game as far as photorealism goes. The gameplay and campaign are fantastic to boot.
Here's a few decent videos

None of these really do this game justice, but should give some idea of the game's scope. You should definitely give this a whirl if you're up for playing a fairly realistic battle sim.
The expansion pack (set in a fictional counterpart to Afghanistan) is due out soon too

I don't think Bohemia games are particularly cutting-edge looking, but they always end up looking pretty good because of the emphasis on looking "real".

Was the arma2 mouse lag ever fixed btw?

Yes it was fixed.

I would argue that the game is cutting-edge graphically, but I know what you mean - it doesn't have all the accoutrements of a game like Crysis or Modern Warfare. However, I don't think any of those are headed down the same path. You're right, Bohemia make their games to look real - I just think they are actually blazing the trail on that front, rather than just stumbling across it
