Ok so maybe its not THE best thing but its one of the best things about Thief
I find that one of the things I like most about Thief is that I can buy a new game like Fallout3 or Left for Dead and become completely immersed in it .. play for days .. replay it sometimes, but once the new game is over I can almost always bet that a quick trip back to the TTLG forums and ill find a post about a new FM that has been released often more than one and I can get straight back into playing Thief like I never even stopped. Its like a perpetual game that never ceases and never becomes tiresome or samey and the effort FM authors put into some of thier missions is just amazing.
So I think that one of the best things about Thief is Not playing Thief. ........... at least for a while.

Best things about thief: 1. The role 2. the editor 3. the community. Everything else comes naturaly.

thats what ive been doing for the last 10 yrs... no other game on any platform have I played as long or enjoyed as much as Thief.. in fact so much so Ive just invested £££ in a better mic to do better recordings for future FM voice work.. ;)

I agree that there's just NO other game like Thief! I've done extensive searches for similar games over the past 10 years and have always come up with 'kind of like it, but not quite'.
Best things about Thief? The ability to totally immerse yourself in the Thief universe (actually pretty much everything about the game(s)), and of course, the TTLG community. :thumb:

Another game may distract me for a bit, but I always come right back to Thief. It's not only the game and all the wonderful FMs, it's also this amazing community. :cool:

Sometimes I wonder at the dedication of the fanbase, and I worry if the team sold their souls in order to put some kind of addiction curse on the game.
It certainly explains a lot...

Best thing about Thief is the cutscenes. Always been my most memorable part:D
