Your two questions have the same answer. The lady does in fact have the key to the chapel. She is wearing it.

I had pickpocketed it already long ago... and had just recently tried all the keys twice. But there was no Chapel key.
Now I have it :confused:

I tried roping up, looking behind statues, under funiture, checked the walls and the painting on the wall. I must be blind. :o

see the switch? I've already found it by blindly frobbing, but no matter how i try to see the switch i can't see it, as far as i can tell it's inside the statue, it's not visible to the naked eye. Which is why I couldn't find it.[/spoiler]

It isn't inside the statue, it is behind the statue and it is possible, in fact easy, to see it from the right angle. Are you sure you're looking at the right statue?

In a locked room near the kitchen, in a locked footlocker you will find something that will help you get that key.
