I can only see Klatremus' last 2 posts in preview so maybe posting this will help sort it out.
Edit. Well now page 3 has properly appeared.

Have a look round the mayor's house near the church.

I'm only going through this campaign now but so far it's been great. Until the point where the mercenary character just asks me to kill everybody there. I AM NO SOLDIER. And there were no mentioned arcane methods to break any seal or anything. So the fact that it was a scary mission before and I actually sneaked carefully this time was kinda just turning it around into a joke and an annoyance. I would've liked an arcane method of killing them, not waiting in a corner to backstab and confront frontally any who were alerted. Also Belmont's attitude towards giving me this objective was outright dickish, for my lackwood ability to find a better word.
OTHER THAN THAT, though, good mission and a great campaign! Cool visuals, a nice story that keeps me interested and overall good gameplay with no illogical or annoyingly pointless areas.
EDIT: And I mean it. :D There's something to your design that makes me feel kinda okay about not finding anything in a room, cause there probably is something in it, but even if there isn't it still feels like it has a purpuse, it's own story (whether you would intended that or not).
I don't want to somehow flout your work, it's just that I felt a big contrast when that objective appeared cause so far the whole campaign made sense to me, but this decision I do not understand that well. Maybe it's story related? I'll see.

Belmont gives you that objective so that the townspeople can escape to the docks safely without getting killed. What better reason do you need for a forced kill objective?
Thor on 6/5/2012 at 20:06
Oh, I'm not against that objective, but I would've thought there could be another solution other than stabbing and shooting everybody to death (for example, some spell that destroys them). Sorry if I sounded whiny (which I was tho..), I am a bit off today..
Yandros on 6/5/2012 at 22:30
Oh I see, you were just hoping for a more elegant means of doing it. Yeah, not really in this case, although there are enough arms around that you needn't use the sword on all of them.

I found a total of 31 broadheads and 4 mines. There was a flash bomb too, but I don't think that works on the dogs. Then there were 3 healing potions and 4 fruits that helps if trying direct combat.

There are actually 33 broadheads in the mission. I realize that this type of scenario is not to everyone's taste but I had a lot of fun taking out the dogs. It is possible and not really too difficult to take them all out using only the sword. It requires that you be very stealthy and fairly cunning in order to take one out without alerting the others but it can be done and I found that a very enjoyable challenge.
