I don't think it's possible. He is one of two challenges you must overcome in order to proceed.

Yeah, I tried blocking the gate that closes on you with rocks, so you don't have to kill him. He comes to a halt if he never sees you, but I doubt you can sneak past him once that happens. I couldn't get past the rocks without having the gate slam shut anyway, plus he hears the commotion. Super sensitive that guy.
The second option (and probably the best) is to transmigrate the gate that leads to the frog-button in there, so he never even spawns. Meaning you don't even have to push the first button. There are wooden boards by the ceiling. With a rope arrow into those you can swing halfway through, then penetrate most of the gate with some nifty lean-jumps. I haven't gotten all the way through but almost. That is only allowed as a last resort though, but it might just be the last resort I've got. Of course you have to transmigrate the gate again to get back out.
The third option is to stack your way up to the beacon lever, but that's a rather tall stack if you ask me... Gotta come back down too without taking damage.

Nice work! I haven't tried stacking to the beacon lever but I've tried elevatoring. I've never made it though. Both are at least theoretically possible. I never even thought about transmigration of that panel. I didn't even remember a wooden spot for a rope arrow. Damn, now I'm gonna have to go try... :nono: :cheeky:

It's a spring wiring. Look in the same building, though a little higher up.
Spoiler: It's in a chest on the second floor, next to a sleeping enemy.

I am really enjoying these missions. I love the mansion in the second one. I have encountered a problem.
The pirate panel in the village on the second floor of one of the houses does not seem to open for me. I click on it and hear the mechanism open and close somewhere, but the panel doesn't move and I can't find any other place that may have opened.

I'm not sure what you mean by the "pirate panel". There is a bookcase on the second floor of the village chief's house that moves aside. But I can't think of anything else like this that is on the second floor of a house in the village.
