In my opinion it's better to try it another way, it's what I adviced to one of the testers and I think it somehow helped:
[SPOILER]You should try to run onto the ledge (not jumping or walking slowly - this causes me to fall down)holding forward and right direction on keyboard (starting from the top platform of the wooden stairs). Window in the end of the wall is unlocked so you can open it and mantle into the shop when you reach the end.[/SPOILER]
But this method can't be used sometimes, if you use different settings for movement (I know there are several methods of moving with mouse and keyboard)...

You're testers must be good! I can now get onto it every time by walking as far out as I can on the platform, turning to face the wall with my back against the rail bit, lining my gem slightly to the left of the doorway and running. But unfortunately that's as far as I can get. As soon as I start moving I fall off every time and I'm trying every key combination I can think of. I'm sure I'm not any fatter than I was 3 hours ago when I first did it!
I may well be launching a savegame appeal myself.
In desperation I went back to a normal level savegame whilst about to mantle up and in but with the proper gen.osm so new objectives were triggered. And I'm on my way again.

Thank you, ghost_in_the_shell! This mission was quite a bit of fun! :D The atmosphere was great- visuals and sounds and all. I guess I was lucky with the ledge walk, I got it easy on my 2nd attempt. (I did the 'run out onto it while looking up at a slight left angle' thing, which is how I usually handle skinny ledges- though this ledge was just about the skinniest ever, I think.) I also found Hank's key on Expert, but I'm still missing 60g off max and wondering if I should go scour the place for it or just consider it a job well done!
I'm really looking forward to the next in this series. May DromEd be kind to you in its construction!

clearing, if you want a spoiler for the location of the key: [SPOILER]Exit Sanchez's office and turn left (north). Up to your right will be a metal beam, somewhat below the wooden ceiling. The key is tucked up in that gap.[/SPOILER] Hope that helps!

Happily finished but will have to try that darn ledge again on expert - I haven't all the loot yet either.

Just for experiment I went back to the 'normal' savegame where I'm[SPOILER] just under the doors and I can run back and forward along the ledge just using the run key quite easily without falling off. Yet once I jump off the ledge I'm completely unable to get back on. [/SPOILER] Wish I could work out what I did the first time.
