Does anyone know where there is a list of quotes from the Mechanist Builder's Children (the robots... :sweat:)? It would be very helpful!

you could always make them yourself. just poke around in SND.crf.

How would I do that (And I'd rather use a list, I don't really have time to blindly search the sound files as I need the quotes ASAP...)?

well, seeing as no such list actually EXISTS...
you can search through .crfs just like .zip or .rar files, and like most other NPCs in thief 2, the steambots (my pet name for them) have a particular organization to their sound files.
files beginning with rb1 are (i think) the smaller bots, rb2 are the big scary ones, and rb3 is the spider bot.
for the middle of the filename there are several different categories:
a0 through a3 are the noises they make depending on their alertness/suspicion/seeing you, with 0 being the least alert and 3 being on high alert (i.e. they've seen you.)
frus is when they become frustrated, amb is when they're searching for you, ambw is when they tell someone they've been injured, alma is when they're running to sound the alarm, almw is when they tell someone else to sound it, the files with "at" in them are for attacking, bak is when they go back to a calm state, and so on.
