I'd say that's over-egging the pudding somewhat. I personally am not a fan of playing an unfinished game for long periods. That said, if I've kick-started something, being able to fire it up every now and then just to take a quick look and gauge its potential is worth shelling out the extra few € for. I'm not sure why people pay €15+ for an unfinished game though. Surely if you've ploughed a load of hours into a game at various stages of quality, then by the time it comes to play the finished product, some of that wow factor must surely have up and dissipated.

The only game I bought on Early Access was Prison Architect and that reminded me why I don't ever buy them. And it's not even THAT bad. It's basically paying to be a beta/alpha tester. And the beta never ends.
It's also why I don't want to do EA for my own games either, but those are more of the story-driven variety where EA doesn't make sense. I can see it working for more formulaic and iterative games where you can tack on new features easily (roguelikes, sims, minecraft, survivals, multiplayer etc.), but I'd rather we just go back to normal release and free patches/expenasion packs. At least with that model the devs can't excuse missing features or bugs with "it's not finished yet!"
