For anyone who wants to know Hulk's take on TDKR but doesn't wanna read that whole big lettered thing, (
http://www.nerdist.com/2012/07/the-indoor-kids-55-batman-batman-batman/) take a listen to the latest episode of the Indoor Kids podcast, skip to 1:10:30. Just so happened I listened to it earlier today, great analysis indeed.

Saw it, loved it. Still consider TDK as my fave, but it was a worthy last act, if a bit too fast paced.
I got nothing more to say on this thread, so toodles.

Saw it, not my favorite but a pretty decent ending to the trilogy.
A few thoughts:
* Anne Hathaway I find to be a little too... vacant.
* Would like to have seen more of Alfred
* The opening scene was Aces, although could have been an opening to a Bond film.
Finally
Talia's/Miranda's death scene was some of the worst acting I've seen. I actually laughed out loud when she finally popped her clogs.
RE: Your spoiler. Everyone did in the theatre I was at.

And this is why no one cares what you think. I started reading that 20 mistakes thing and its nonsense. Nonsense on the same level as the review who criticised The Matrix by saying how implausible it was that Keanu Reeves would understand Simulacra and Simulation.

I started reading that 20 mistakes thing and its nonsense.
Very elaborate argumentation. Why is it (especially 3, 4, 10, 11, 13, 14, 16, 19, 20) "nonsense"? Well, I guess you found all those pompous (e.g. "anyone can be Batman") and cheesy dialogues (e.g. Selina operating the Batpod), infantile motivations (e.g. scene with Bane
crying, "Goodbye, Alfred"), plot holes (e.g.
Wayne's return to Gotham, the [almost] entire police crew underground for three months), disappointing solutions or bad execution of some ideas (e.g.
Bane's death, Miranda-Bruce relationship), unsatisfying character developement (e.g. Gordon, Foley, Selina), bad storytelling (e.g.
Talia's backstory), cheap pathos (e.g.
the final battle between cops and thugs, Foley's body) and sheer stupidity (e.g.
Batman's "healing" in the prison with the use of a fist) impressive. I guess you had fun in the cinema. Good for you. I wasn't so lucky.
I really, really like other Nolan's movies (including BB and TDK). I was expecting much more from him. And I was also having fun during the first half of The Dark Knight Rises (great opening sequence, nice introduction of Selina and Blake, interesting chase scene after
attack on the stock market etc.). Unfortunately, while watching second part of the movie (after
Bane "breakes" Batman) I was wondering if Michael Bay was also directing this, let me use your word, nonsense.
Another interesting read for the naysayers:
(

;)
Shug on 29/7/2012 at 13:39
Using the word 'fails' is a bit silly, it's still a movie worth watching
Also, things like number 5 (Wayne manor security) leads me to believe he missed some really basic information provided by the film.
This chap can't even spell "sleight-of-hand", and goes on to suggest that Nolan include some reference to the Joker being involved without actually showing the character. I don't think he should be critiquing anything.
bukary, the fact you think #11 represents a problem with the film tells me you're not ready. If the movie had been made to this guy's specifications we'd still be in the theatre at the 4 hour mark
[edit edit edit:] mistakes that article writer should have avoided: not leaving in stock list advice from a third party website about raising web-traffic

1. Subjective.
2. What is his problem? It's just backstory and characterisation.
3. He's wrong in the first paragraph so why continue? She isn't a Robin Hood character.
4. Yeah, no one judges Gordon. This is crap.
5. As Shug says - he's missed info. Watch it again and come back.
6. Modine is great. Who hates Modine? Get out.
7. Oh good God. Talia is hidden amongst Gotham's wealthy for yeeears. There is NO way she would have/could have found this out for Bane is there. Utter nonsense.
8. Scarecrow was great in this role. Shut up.
9. We didn't need the Joker. Hardly anyone has commented that he should have been referenced. I think he
could have been but this is hardly film failure stuff.
10. 5 months is a speedy rehab? Oooookay. And no one said he had "protruding discs". The knee? We saw he had some advanced leg aug fitted early on. Is this guy even paying attention?
11. Oh God.
12. Get out. Have you ever seen real multiple opponents vs one combat?
13. On night stands never happen in real life.
I'm bored already.
14. This so misses the point that I can't even
16. I respectfully disagree. Also: subjective.
gaaah im done

Well, the bionic knee thing gets shown off, but unless bane helpfully leaves him with it when he dumps him in pitprison, he somehow manages to regrow enough knee cartilage to make the climb out.
But that did not admittedly spoil my enjoyment at all.
I did wonder why he didn't just use those little bat-tranquiliser-darts for..like, everything, though. "Hi bane!" *tranq tranq tranq* *vigorous kicking*..but perhaps that would've been less symbolic.
