I'm so glad at least one other person likes Blade Runner. Scots' regular abuse of it made me feel like I was alone in the world. :(

One other person? Apart form gazillion fans world over?
I love to slaughter me some sacred cows - but BR? How do you even...
(Now, 2001:Space Odyssey on the other hand... ;)

2001 was great.
Then the ending happened.

I -LOVE- Blade Runner :D
I even have the silly ultimate edition with the Voight-Kampff test kit box set...fs....

I could derail this thread further and challenge the notion that I "abuse" BR and not reasonably disagree with its artistic merit, but no, I'd rather talk more about Batman (which is better) :D

Ironically, Nolan thought so highly of Blade Runner’s artistic merit that he specifically based Batman Begins’ production design on it (as well as repeatedly screening the film for his cast and cinematographer).

The irony is lost on me... like tears in the rain...

Catwoman riding a batpod...
Mounting rumours that Joseph Gordon Levitt is Robin...
Confirmed Batwing...
...
I'm scared. :erm:
I've been avoiding info and leaks for the most part, but it looks like WB has definitely grabbed Nolan by the lapels and demanded he create a Batverse sandbox for future directors to play in. At this stage it looks like Bane is wrapped up in a masive revolt on Gotham as the League of Shadows returns. Don't think the whole Bane back-breaking thing will come to pass unless he gets fucked up and that's why Catwoman and others come to the fore to rescue Gotham from Bane/League...
Mr.Duck on 20/9/2011 at 16:49
Honestly?
I'm stll not sold on Catwoman.
They should just keep Bane*, imho.
But hey, Heath proved most of us wrong and his Joker trailed a firey path of awesome. Who knows?, maybe kitty kat here will do right.....hopefully.
*I really despised how they portrayed him in Arkham Asylum as a dumb mass of flesh and muscle and HURR DURR BRING ON DA PAIN macho bullshit....fs....original Bane never backed out of a fist fight, but the man ALSO has brains, tyvm.

Oh you're just mad because he's a reject that couldn't even make it past auditions for Nacho Libre with his fake-ass mask.
