I love how jtr7 makes lack of widespread broadband sound like martial law. There's little as funny as a whining hick who doesn't know which side his bread's buttered
It wouldn't sound funny or hick-like if you weren't an insular dope about the world and opining instead of listening to what I said. It's not anything like martial law, but is financial and based on cost versus benefit and perceived problems. There's an economic crisis going on, that you are privileged to not notice, and lack of money is the imposition, not a mandate. We are looking forward to a national wi-fi network. The homeless rate has jumped here, and includes laid off professors. We lost 200 more jobs at the university alone this summer. I live in a city, a University town, population between 70,000 to 100,000--depending on the student population and those people who migrate seasonally. The cost of living is very high compared to wages, and we have not seen cost of living increases to help with inflation. Businesses that have wi-fi (slowly getting picked up for only the last three years) buy low-end stuff to get their foot in the door and test the waters, and the broadband is choked down to 5.0 or less. And for the last time, several of my online contacts from around the world have told me they are paying monthly fees for restricted access, haven't been active at TTLG for not having lost Internet, having needed to move and are dealing with those expenses and changes, etc., you know, common human existence. Quit yer sneering.

Liar.
It's "Oh it's you; don't care."
Which is precisely the cause of your blindness and apathy.

again, another tdm thread asking a specific question turned into a what's wrong with the universe thread.
we get it jtr7, you don't like steam 'cause you don't like/have good internet, whatever.
but what does that have to do with requirements to play tdm or performance requirements for tdm?
NOTHING if you don't buy doom3 on steam. a really pointless argument in a thread asking nothing more than what computer they play tdm on.

First I do not agree with what Vernon said it was uncalled for.
Why do you act like we are all out to get you though ?
We need to feel your pain is that it ?
We got the message a while ago can we let this go now ?

How i open TGA files paint not work and i aint got adobe instlled right now.
Will post screen shots soon but it allways runs smooth as butter. My only dislike is that Doom 3 only runs in OpenGL and not Direct3d.
