Yes it is fantastic (thank you TDM team!).
I was just wondering while playing all those missions is there a way to know which missions have I played (in case I don't remember titles) in the main mission list? Actually right now it is not a problem but later when there will be 50 missions it will be needed.

Worth looking into. Perhaps we can find a way of adding a check box so players can track their played missions.

That'd be great if something like that could be done with cookies for the list (I've no idea how), or in the game menu (without needing the mission to remain on HD). Also as I was just telling Cap, you can copy the source of the page and paste it into a local HTML file, and then maintain your finished list locally.

I know NH disagrees, but I really think an external launcher à la DarkLoader would feel more adapted, and it would allow for filtering and sorting large mission lists.

same thoughts here, that's why my above Q about GL support (it doesn't have to be GL, of course).

Why add another application when the work can be done in-game? Just because we can't filter the missions in the menu right now doesn't mean we can't later on. The whole reason for Dark Loader or Garretloader was that Dark Engine didn't have any sort of menu for fan missions, we built this ability into TDM to eliminate the need for external launchers.
It might be possible for us to add an extra tab on the missions list so that there is a 'played' and 'unplayed' list. When players have played a misssion, they could then check it off...thus moving it to the played list....or some such thing.
I know people are used to having to load their FM's through an external application, but we didn't want that. We wanted TDM to be a stand alone, professional quality, application.

Why? Personally I'm more than happy for id software to get paid. I've heard this from different people before. Id software have been supporters of the modding community for years, releasing source code for free after their engines are no longer used commercially. Does Eidos do this for us? No. Have we asked and begged them to? Yes. Support good companies like id software, they deserve it.
Oh yes, that's definitely fair enough. I meant I'd much rather have paid for TDM than for Doom... I do not enjoy that game so far :p. I'm not annoyed that iD gets money... just that they get money for Doom.
EDIT: Just had a bit of time to try out the training mission. :thumb: to all you guys, what you've done is really awesome :).

I perfectly understand your statement (and partially I agree, me too I don't like Doom, and target/shootallismoving/marines/muscles/war/mucho games), but I think that Id makes more money on Licensing the Engine, on the quake/doom brand, and on the multiplayer side of business, than selling the game itself released with the new engine.

Nice to see you're playing with Linux Mazzortock. :)

I don't think that anyone is suggesting you guys create another application, just whether it is possible for GL or DL or whatever to support installing a fan mission and then launch TDM with that FM ready (which I assume wouldn't be that difficult for either launcher).
I myself am perfectly happy using tdm_launcher (and the addition of a tab with completed and difficulty info would be a real bonus) but I can see how others might want to keep everything in one place, though they should really be asking the developers of GL or DL.
