I considered the difficulty of balance with regards to allowing different amounts of loot to carry over into the next mission, but it really isn't as big an issue as it might seem.
As far as making sure that every player has at least enough loot to buy the minimum tools required to complete the level, you would set the loot objective in the previous mission to a certain value. On the other end of the scale, you can avoid having players buy too many water arrows for example by limiting the number available. If someone tries to find it all the loot, that extra money might only be able to buy equipment that doesn't have a detrimental affect on gameplay (health potions, flashbombs... things you tend to hoard unless you 'really' need to use them).
Anyway, you can never be sure what tools someone will buy even with a set value of loot, so I don't see much of a difference.

Hi. I just installed Doom 3 on my pc (version 1.0) and it runs fine. I also downloaded the Dark Mod, installed it into the Doom3/Darkmod directory, but I get a "runtime error" message when I click on the launcher and it crashes. I tried every compatibility mode, but still nothing :(. Here are my specs:
Win7 x64
Pentium dual core
4gb Ram
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Ok now I have another problem. When I go to start a mission, the game crashes with the error message "malloc failure for 4194312". :(
I have all the latest drivers for my video card, so I don't know what else this could be....

If the problem is not with the drivers, then it could have something to do with virtual memory: Increasing it might work, for example to 2 or 3 GB RAM.
