Ok, I lowered the graphics settings and tried another mission...it's finally working . I was trying this Alchemist mission, which still won't load..oh well.
Thanks guys :thumb:
You need to apply the (
http://www.ntcore.com/4gb_patch.php) 4GB patch to the doom3.exe file

I've never heard of this patch. How much RAM does d3 use normally and how many people are using this patch?

Biker applied this to get past an internal limit in Doom 3 of about 700MB during a map compile. I am not sure why folks would need this to play missions but I suppose that Windows 7 (etc) might be doing funky things with memory allocation for multi-tasking in 64bit environments. I have yet to see any adverse effects from the patch but it certainly is strange that it would be needed anyway???
I would first make sure that your DoomConfig.cfg has texture compression enabled. You might also wanna try disabling Aero and (possibly) running Doom 3 in XP compatibility mode.

The patch is a blunt force trick, I forgot about the doomconfig.cfg.

Just wondering if there's a way to change the mouse sword strike settings?

I was surprised to see no acknowledgement of the 5 year anniversary of the release of TDM (or maybe I just missed it). I know the mod has been around in other forms longer than that, but I always think of the day that TDM was first released to the public with the training mission, Chalice of Kings, Crown of Penitence, and The Outpost to be the official date.
Happy Anniversary TDM. Here's to the next 5 years (and beyond)...
Seems we all missed this one, I imagine thats because we are very busy building wonderful things for TDM :cheeky:
