Unless we snuck in a bug, it is supposed to heal you. But you now have 100 HP and it only heals 1, so you need to snack quite a bit more - no more "An apple a day keeps chopped off limbs re-appearing" :D
Btw, try the apples, they are delicious :)
I think what may be throwing some people off is the fact that food does not enter your inventory as it did in the Thief games.
To eat food you must pick it up, and then hit the *USE* key while it is in your hand. I've remapped my *USE* to "T", so it is somewhat within reach of the other frequently used keys. So to eat something I frob it with my RMB to pick it up, then simply hit "T".

Is that actually working? It's an oversight, if so. Edible food IS supposed to go into your inventory. That's left over from an older method that we weren't going to use.

Only FM that seems to crash is chalice of the kings, for me.

I was able to eat food too, I figured out you have to use the 'use' key while holding them. Had a small surprise when I ate an apple. :)

Yes. I just ate three apples on the table in the "Chalice of Kings" fm.
Using the method described above, I hear a bite sound, and the apple model changes to an empty core. Your health also goes up a small amount.
I mean, maybe ONLY apples work like this. I didn't try other food like bread. I just assumed the other food was working like this.
None of the food goes into the inventory. I can say this firmly across all FMs I've played.

I ate some carrots too this way. Nothing remained of it though. I guess the main character just ate the leaves too. :)

Someone else reported that problem earlier in this thread...had to do with a corrupted .cfg file, I believe. I think they copied their D3 one and it worked, but you'd have to search through and read the post to be sure--somewhere around page 6, I think...?
It works :D you were right about the corrupted .cfg file thanks for the help and thanks Tels for your reply

That's very neat! :D (Although wasteful; apple cores are perfectly palatable)

I believe he is properly named 'NotGarrett'. :sly:

You should have seen the big cheesy grin on my face after I ate my first apple. :D

Lol, I admit, I almost wrote Garrett. :D
On another subject: how do knockouts work? I noticed that you can only score a one hit knockout from behind. But I had few other scenarios: once I wasn't standing exactly behind someone, hit him and he didn't fall unconscious, but I quickly hit him again, which knocked him out. Also, I once alerted a guard and he attacked me with a sword, but I could knock him out with about three hits.
So I assume you get some kind of KO damage multiplier when attacking an unaware opponent from behind, but otherwise you can knock out everybody in every alert state. Right? This is very different from the Thief games, but I guess it's more believable - a blackjack to the face should affect people even if they're aware of you. :)
