Heh, now I could enter that room without crashing by moving to the left of the doorway, and looking at the ground while moving into the room. After that I could move in and out without problems, no more crashes.
No seriously, there is an invisible wall there, right? The level designer could've left that area accessible, rewarding the creative player with the ability to get out of the level. :)

Thanks a lot, now I can use that awesome spyglass.
Edit : BTW I finished the three missions and I encountered some bugs. At some point during the crown of penitence the game started crashing everytime I hit the quickload key. And also sometimes when I try to carry a body on my shoulders it gets stuck there and I can't drop it anymore no matter what I do (even when there's enough room in front of me). It happened twice, the first time in the training mission and the second time in the chalice of kings. Anyway I thought I'd let you know.

Not seen either of those. If you don't get any solution for those you might like to add them to (
http://bugs.angua.at) as they sound like possible code bugs. Try and put any additional info that helps and if you can keep the quicksave somewhere in case it is requested.

I had the same problem which was answered a couple of pages back it's because of a corrupted .cfg file to fix it just copy the doomconfig.cfg over writing the one inside of the darkmod folder.
Thanks for your response. But I still have this problem when I am copying the "original" doomconfig.cfg of the downloaded darkmod folder into the darkmod folder which I put into the Doom 3 folder.
In fact it seems to me that Doom 3 is overwriting this cfg- file. The original size of the cfg is 7,31 kb; when I am starting TDM with tdmlauncher.exe the size of the cfg- file changes to 10,4 kb. Even write protection does not stop it. Any other help?

P.S: I am using Vista and I downloaded TDM via torrent. I can close TDM with Alt + F4. I can use Alt+Tab, but I only see the Task bar; the rest is black.

A great example for EM on what most fans want. The only thing I miss in Dark Mod is Garrett and some factions-story elements from original games (this happens mostly due to legal issues).

Old 7600GT broke, new ATI4870 works (did you know that doom3 manages to use more transistors on most cards and thus create more heat? If your PC freezes next summer on a mod, it could be in a heat shutdown).
Reproduced, underwater slowdown due to bloom.
Catalyst AI disabled. (install the catalyst drivers from the ati website to get a catalyst control panel, right click on your desktop, open catalyst panel, select 3D tab, click checkbox to disable the CatalystAI) This fixed skybox-movement and bloom-upsidedown.
I also tested the non-rotating skybox and that works too :p
The mod is great, please ignore suggestions by others here about changes to game basics, the current form is great!
Found the 10 health potions :D on to the lockpicking
