Is that actually working? It's an oversight, if so. Edible food IS supposed to go into your inventory. That's left over from an older method that we weren't going to use.
Yeah, but nobody fixed the food before release, at least I didn't or I can't remember I did :) The updater was kinda more important to me.

erm, or the modeller was lazy.:eww:
Congrats on the release though guys. I had all weekend but missed the post :(
Sorry I bailed out early on ya. Glad some people have mnore resolve than myself.
Yeah, if someone wants to donate some "eaten food" models, we are all ears :)

I checked going through the fireplace, but it crashed for me too when I dropped down to the room.
Temporary solution: drop down backwards (facing where you're coming from), then
look at the floor, don't look up, and move into the room. Once you're in the room (I walked a around the room once, just to make sure), it is safe to look up, the game most likely won't crash anymore in that location.
I'll check the double door soon, and see if a similar workaround exists.
In that room (second floor double door) there is a statue on a small column. That kills it. If I look at it, the game crashes. I managed to get in once without crashing, but I don't know how I did it. I entered backwards and I could look around after that. The last few times I tried it, it crashed. Now I can enter the room backwards and look around only as long as I keep it out of sight.
None of these crashes were present with the Catalyst AI set to Low.
Looks like I'll have to choose between crashes and ten minute loading times... real dilemma here...

I'm not able to download the package with this tdm_update.exe... I took a quick reflex screen grab of the little black shell as the error came up... I tried multiple times.

1. You can see it without the console closing by going start menu -> run -> cmd. Then open the updater from there.
2. Clear out your temp folder @ Documents & Settings -> Your name - > Local settings -> temp.

I don't check the forum over the weekend and look what happens - with over 400 replies no less! I should stay away more often :cheeky:

It's perfect, though after shooting a priest in the face, he was still talking whenever I whacked him.
Like, can't he just die all the way already?

@ fidcal: Yes, that´s correct. But I downloaded it via Torrent.
The first time I changed the resolution. After restarting, the typical problem. Copying the cfg file did not solve it.
The second time I installed the training mission which requires a reboot. After reboot the typical black screen. Copying the cfg file did not solve it.
The third time (in fact it was the tenth time but that´s unimportant) I changed NOTHING. Just started TDM and pressed the quit button. After restarting the black screen of death said hello. Copying the cfg file NOW did the job. No problem with changing the resolution; no problem playing the training mission.
If you are interested I´m sure I can recreate this bug by deleting every TDM files from the Doom 3 folder and doing the same thing again (and again and again... I will help you in any way I can).

Dainem: Is the black screen in-game only when you are actually playing the FM or is it the entire menus are black so you can do nothing but presumably close it with Task Manager?

This sounds like possibly memory overload either physical RAM on the PC or in the graphics card when a new set of textures is loaded but I don't know what might resolve that. (apart from buying more Ram.)
Hmm.. Well, my rig's got 4 gigs of RAM, and this (

Please tell me it's not the card. I
just bought it.
