Oh HEY! Can we still knock an AI out by blackjacking an ankle, elbow, or buttock?:p

No. :) Although overly nostalgic FM authors could change it so that you can, if they wanted.

Just noticed this thread and the teasers. What can I say? Looks very, very nice indeed! A great job - the feeling's definitely there. Outstanding! :thumb:

I downloaded the trailer yesterday but it took me until today to finally watch it. Oh my goodness!!!! This looks awesome. I can't wait to play it.
Two questions:
1. Will we be able to snuff out the candles?
2. I like the idea of dragging a body, but I think it would be more realistic if we could actually see the characters hands holding the body either by the sholders or the back of the shirt (in the neck) while dragging. Is that possible?
But you guys get definately :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: for what I have seen so far. Very impressive.

Yes, that already works.

We're not using a T3 style body awareness, so that wouldn't really be possible without a lot of extra work. We would probably need to create a separate 'being carried' model for every AI in the game. Nope, the view from here is that it will be T1 and 2 style.

I hope you understood that the "option" in question means "coding it to work that way". :) That was what NH meant to say. :ebil:

@Sparhawk:
Yeah but it's pretty easy. It's a matter of changing a line on the AI in question from "damage_zone_ko_zone" "*neck" to "damage_zone_ko_zone" "*origin" or something.

Graphics look a bit out-dated and bland on rootops. Whilst there's obviously the light effects in the D3 engine, outside sections don't look THAT different from Thievery.
Ragdolls are very TDS-like, in fact they seem to fall like a sack of potatoes and fall through things, worst example at 2:16.
Things look a bit out of scale. For example the steps at 1:49 seem way too big and look like they were made in a rush.
Rope arrows look like you're swinging on them from a few feets away.
Doors look like they can be frobbed from a long distance.
That noise when you take loot needs to be removed. Sounds like it's been ripped from a SNES game.
Apart from that it looks alright.
