Would it be possible to implement it so the charater uses the most convenient arm / leg to push up in the certain position they are in, or at least to make it random, cos if it's left side each time, it sort of takes away from the immersion a bit.
To be completely honest, that wouldn't make the priority list even if we had twice the number of coders that we have now.

Also, is there / will there be a way to lower yourself quietly of ledges/drop down a bit before letting go to avoid taking damage...
Currently no...although you can quietly detach from ropes. I might be mistaken, but what you're suggesting would require a rather efficient detection system. If we were to somehow miraculously finish all the 'core' features, bug fixes and testing before our tentative release date, then we might take a stab at implimenting a few of the smaller useful features. At this point, it's not likely as we're in a semi-lockdown on features in order to ensure all the core tech is finished.

Out of interest, am wondering what the poly count of a DM character is? And for misc stuff like cups, chairs, tables..?

Kudos to the team.:thumb:
And I don't mean to sound like a Mechanist, but I love the gears! And the music creates a nice ambience with them.
Man, I'm missing out on so much!

ATM the characters are roughly 5000 polys each, and things like chairs and cups etc are around 150 - 300 or so.
Glad you guys liked the trailer :)

I liked the trailer. Noticed one glitch though - if you look closely at the scene where Garrett is crawling along a ledge, you'll see that he actually flies above it.

That's because it's not Garrett, but our own thief character who has powers of levitation!

That's actually an accidental plot spoiler since it's taken from when your character masters The Power of Extremely Small Levitation. Not very useful, but impresses people at parties.
