I am at the point where I have the Dark Mod working and I have been playing with the training mission. I am now trying to put in regular missions. I drop them on the TDM icon but when I try to make use of one, I find none of the missions are there and don't know what's happened with them.
These are the specifications I have put into the 'Properties' blanks:
Target: C:\games\Doom3\darkmod\tdmlauncher.exe
Start In: C:\Games\doom3\darkmod\fms\
Could someone please point out to me what is wrong and how I can get the TDM to work as it should?
Thanks
Pardon me but I should add that the computer system I am using is Windows with the XPpro OS. I had this game working well before but the hard drive gave out and it was replaced with a new one but by the time I got it back, I had forgotten how I had gotten the TDM to work before and I am endeavoring to restore it to working order now.

Just reading your post again I see you are using drag and drop onto the icon. AFAIK that has not been implemented; download FMs into the fms folder and they should show next time you launch Dark Mod.

I took a look at the 'modetwo.net' and got nothing at all there.

I would very much like to see this thread that you saw back there.
FYI, I had been posting at the DM forums a while back and I ran into difficulities with username and pwd. I did so many of these that I became unable to post over there at all, which is why I am doing so here.

Found a couple of threads but they were not relevant I don't think. One showed an empty install. This was someone using Steam:
(
http://modetwo.net/darkmod/index.php?/topic/11009-unable-to-install-fan-missions-since-update/page__view__findpost__p__215983)
The other was to do with an internal team install conflict.
So back to square 1. Can you confirm you are downloading your FMs to the correct folder? For example if the mission file is say chalice.pk4 then you have put it in the fms folder:
doom3\darkmod\fms\chalice.pk4
And you then run tdmlauncher, changed how I described, and it still does not show the FM listed in the New Missions menu?

I think this is the heart of my problem. I don't know where to put the fms folder.
This is the path in the 'Properties' part of the 'Darkmod' game:
The 'Target' is: C:\games\Doom3\darkmod\tdmlauncher.exe
The 'Start in' is: C:\Games\Doom3\darkmod\fms
That is how I have done it for the Darkmod. I only see the training mission and nothing else as I have forgotten where to properly put the 'fms' folder so I can access the Training mission and any other mission as well.
Thank you for working with me on this.

I think the 'Start in' needs to be C:\Games\Doom3\darkmod\, or if that doesn't work try C:\Games\Doom3\.

If all else fails you can start it the old fashioned way.
1) Click your Doom 3 icon
2) When Doom 3 is at the Title Menu click "Mods" (towards the bottom right)
3) Select "The Dark Mod" from the list of Mods
4) Click Start
5) Select a Mission from the Right Pane
6) Click Install Mission
7) Click Start Mission
(This is presuming that all your FM's are in the correct directory.)

Yes, well this is the problem. I don't know what this correct directory is supposed to be so problem continues. Thanks for your effort anyway.
