Hey guys, does anybody know the specific date that thief 1 was released for the first time in the US? I want to commerate that day with some sort of thief day where I force friends to drink wine with me from goblets that look like they are from thief and maybe force them to walk around in the dark or something, you know for the tenth anniversary of the greatest game ever.

Thouhts or ideas?

thats a long wait but I should have my own house by then so I can blow the day out of porportion by finding tapestrys or something. heh, i was hoping it would be sooner though . . .

Yeah, the actual release date was November 30th, 1998. I would tend to use that date over the gold date as an anniversary. I guess you could say back on November 13th, Garrett was still in the womb. ;)

I can't remember dates but I definitely had the Bafford demo before the game was released, I'm almost sure of it.
