I'm looking forward to the PS2 port of Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow. Those PSP titles are overlooked gems, but the handheld's controls are dogshit for 3D action games - you really need dual-analogue.
The action controls for this series are better than Metal Gear Solid's, which are suited solely for sneaking. MGS's controls turn to shit when you're "discovered".

Anyone heard anything new? Seems there are no stealth games coming soon, and that's a shame.
Uh, you mentioned Velvet Assassin only some posts (and months) ago, didn't you? There was some info about it in (
http://pc.ign.com/articles/922/922814p1.html) IGN's preview yesterday.

The new stealth games (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=124552) poll reminded me of this thread.
But the reason I'm writing is to lament again, but this time about the dearth of sniper games. I came upon a game called Sniper: Art of Victory at a local Best Buy last week, and didn't pick it up. Looked it up online, and it looked pretty silly. I seem to recall the only decent sniper game was Sniper Elite released a few years back. I went looking for other similar games, but there's literally nothing good. And definitely no sniper games set in the modern times, where you could have very cool silenced sniper rifles, etc. Nada! I really enjoyed the sniper levels in both COD4 and 5, and wanted a complete game like that.

These are not sewers. It's water drainage. It says so right there.

I've wanted for the last couple years a cyberpunk Thief-like game ever since ZylonBane suggested it. Right down to the horror elements- I've wanted some kind of sewer horror level (think the Cistern FM, only in a more modern/futuristic setting. As if sewers could be futuristic, but you get the idea.)
That would be an awesome idea, would really give the series a fresh breath.
Unfortunately there has been a bit of a decline in decent stealth games lately. Hitman and Splinter Cell are rubbish and can't even hold a candle to true classics like Metal Gear Solid, Tenchu and Thief.
I just hope they make a good solid sequel to MGS4.

Sanitary sewers != storm sewers.
