What the fuck, they've turned Splinter Cell into 'Gears of Jason Bourne'.
3rd person action games are the cancer that is killing the Stealth genre (They've already disembowelled the subtle Psychological (Survival) Horror - ie Silent Hill). Eidos Montreal + Thief 4 remains the only (albeit distant) hope of a saviour.
EDIT: Sorry, I forgot about the Penumbra guys.
(P.S. I don't really consider Hitman as Stealth, in the traditional sense.)

wow, i hate it ..... for a sam fisher game.

apart from that it looks like a game I would try out, it just doesn't have anything to do with stealth or what I got out of the splinter cell series (keep in mind: i did not play DoubleAgent), no matter how many salespitches the devs give infront of the camera. "we have a new take on stealth"....yeah, you REMOVED it.
anyways, looks more like a fun and stylish brawler with a few gadgets and stealth elements thrown in. I'm interested.
i just HATE it when they rape franchises instead of just making a new IP.....
call it Jason Fisher or Sam Bourne, I don't care, but stop it with the "reimagined" sequels, most of the time changes are too "conservative" to be truly game-changing and at the same time big enough to throw off the "spirit" of the franchise.
I hope that made any sense. so in the end, I'm lookin forward to it.
at least there will be a thief4....
