The Eidos Montreál studio is apparently going to keep their name and continue their work on the games being currently developed.
P.S. A minute of silence for the once great game publisher...

I think it would be cool of they called the company Square Enix Eidos, and they made their logo SEE with an eyeball or something.

Indeed it really is quite tragic. So it goes, I guess.

They still could do that, since they're renaming it Square Enix Europe.

It wasn't hard to see this coming though. They haven't been able to truly get their shit together since the early 00's. I won't be surprised if the name and logo sticks around just for the sake of brand recognition though.

From what I read, no more games will be published under "Eidos Interactive" but rather under "Square Enix Europe".

They had a massive flop with Kane & Lynch, plus, personally i stopped buying in with their Tomb Raider reiterations at number 3. I realize these arent their only franchises, but when a companies flag ship products stop sailing true... They probably have bet their big money on the wrong horses, simply put. I just hope this doesnt jeopardize Thief 4, or Deus Ex 3. I also worry for the Hitman series, lots of unfulfilled potential there.

I'd go with Squidos and the logo could have some tentacles in it, works with the crazy tentacle loving japanese thing ;)

eidos shares are worth a peanut or a squid with tenticles. 0.32p per share.

Well said. Besides Thief, Hitman is my biggest concern. Eidos certainly had some great action and adventure game franchises up its sleeve...
