Just use Garrett Loader. Is has an option to re-register the proper codecs etc...and it works FLAWLESSLY. It should be in the sticky, ffs.

Or if worst comes to worst, we could just upload the videos...

Could the movies be damaged on the CD? To find out, try to copy the folder thief2\movies from CD 2 to your hard disk. If you get an error message, the CD or the movies on it might be damaged. You could tell us what error message is displayed, too. Maybe we can tell you more, then.
If only one or two movies are damaged, there are several ways to get around the problem. We can see to that once we're certain what exactly is the problem here.

Option 3 worked for me but it took a few go's to get it right. I messed up on installation folder being Thief2 not Thief(space)2. Also I didn't realize you need to include those quote marks " .... "

By who? Looking Glass aren't in business anymore and I doubt Eidos will care a great deal.
