The trailer focuses mostly on the actiony bits, but honestly this is 90% adventure game and 10% action game. And the adventure part is good too, with puzzles that are difficult, but still make sense. And the story is really good. You play the onboard AI of a combat suit whose pilot has fallen unconscious and needs medical attention. The rest of the characters you meet are AIs as well. They all have their own governing rules they must abide by, but also a modicum of free will with which to use their own judgement to make decisions. Having a story driven entirely by different AIs interacting with eachother like this is fascinating, and very unique. The only other thing I can think of that's even remotely similar would be Blade Runner.
Currently only the first episode is out. It's only about 4 hours long, but well worth the 10€ asking price. If you nab it in the current Steam Sale you can even have it for half of that!

Sounds interesting. So you say this is the first of three episodes. Is this a season pass kind of thing where you pay once and get the rest of the episodes as they come out? Also, does this episode have a proper ending? I'm not interested in some 'to be continued' stuff and then having to wait months for the next bit.

Ahhh, damn. I didn't realise it was episodic when I bought it. I usually try and wait until they're all out and burn through all of them at once.
(...it looks good, though. Gonna play it soon anyway. :) )

I didn't realize it was only the first part either.
Yes it ends with "To Be Continued..." and the dev says it'll be at least 8 months until part 2, though it's development is dependent on sales of the first part, so it's not a certain thing.
BUT
I would say that part 1 does work as a self-contained dark sci-fi story. The ending certainly didn't disappoint. In a way I'm not sure I'd want further installments since the big plot twist has already been played, and I'm not sure if the sequels will be able to live up to this. But at the same time I'm terribly curious about what will happen next.

Okay, I bought it. If it works as a self contained story, then it's cool.
Besides, your previous obscure indie scifi game suggestions worked out pretty well for me so, I'll trust you on this one too. :)
