Last Saturday's session was postponed since most people couldn't make it, but war is back on the schedule soon:

Boy, oh boy, the
Arma sessions are under a bit of a curse this year so far... Yesterday's game had to be cancelled at relatively short notice because of a familial emergency. Everything's okay now, mind you, so if people are up for it I would suggest that we get back in the cockpit/troop transport and give the enemy heck in two weeks' time (fingers crossed that it'll actually work out okay this time):

Glad to hear the familial emergency was averted.
Me, Jesh and Malf ended up playing a few rounds of Worms WMD instead yesterday. Good stuff as always. Definitely looking forward to more Arma tho.

Fun session today - jason joined us (though without a headset, so we couldn't talk directly to him), so it was him, myself, henke and Malf. The first mission (unfortunately I didn't note down the mission names) was a meatgrinder pretending to be a defense mission; we didn't exactly help ourselves, but even if we had we wouldn't have stood much of a chance against the tank. Afterwards, though, we played a couple of small-scale attack missions and did well. Okay, there was this one mission where the rescue chopper never landed so Malf blew us all up, but I consider that a win as well. Sadly henke's PC or connection crashed so he dropped out about five minutes before we won the final mission, but a good, surprisingly non-lethal time was had by all.
I'll probably plan another session in two weeks' time, just before Easter, but I'll post something here beforehand and I'll send around a message on Steam to the gang.

To be fair, the first mission would have probably gone ok if I hadn't forgotten about how bad the weapon clipping can be in ArmA and hadn't immediately fired an RPG into the middle of our squad thinking it was going to go through the window.

I just realised that I haven't posted anything about the upcoming session, so here goes:

The next Arma 3 coop session:
Date: Sat, 13 April 2019
Time: 3-6pm UK timeAs always, I'll be online a bit before 3pm to set up the server and check who's on Steam.
Please note that there have been a couple of updates to
Arma and the modset, so make sure to download these before the session. I don't know yet whether we'll play any missions that need the CUP mod in particular, since this is always based on the number of people who actually show up, but it would be a shame to be restricted in our choice because people didn't download the updates.

I think I have everything installed and hooked up and ready to go, hopefully I can figure out how the mods and TS3 work. In any case I'm ready to frag some teammates.

Glad to hear it! :D

I got everything re-installed on my new rig too. We ought to start a little early to confirm we have everything ready.
When you do the regular update (which I just did), do the mods one has installed update too or do you have to do them separately?
Jason Moyer on 13/4/2019 at 12:12
AFAIK if you're subscribed to them in the workshop, they update automagically because I periodically get notices that a mod has updated.
