I recently spent some thinking about Thief (mainly because I was totaly bored) and I somewhat realised that the first time I´ve ever heard of Thief was through a video of a German video game magazine, called PC games (I´m not 100% sure). It was mostly about video game myths (stuff like big foot in GTA etc.) and they mentioned the bow upgrade. Also the for some reason showed parts of the Trickster ritual at the end. So to sum it up the first time I noticed Thief was rather bizarre community joke and a spoiler :cheeky:
I tried to find the video but I wasen´t very successful

I found the Bafford demo in this Tomb Raider CD back in 2003-2004. Played it initially for 10 minutes or so, but didn't think much of it. About a month later, I went back to it and decided to really get into it, and I was hooked. I think I played til sunrise

My first time was sometime in I think 2000. I had this Eidos demo disk laying around and in addition to a bunch of other games, namely Revenant, Tomb Raider, Gangsters, and other Eidos oldies, it had a demo for Thief: The Dark Project. I remember being so blown away by the light/dark mechanic and replaying Bafford's mansion over and over again. Shortly after I bought myself Thief 2. That game is now my second favorite game of all time :cheeky:
