Friends don't let friends skip leg day.
We all(those of us on the closed forum this was posted at) already called him out on that.
Before was fairly average. I'd have go guess at 15% BF or so.

I'm a walking heart attack, and I don't say that to be funny. I hate being obese and I'm doing something about it but I hate how long it takes! I know it didn't take a day to gain all the weight and it will take a long time to lose it, but it is disheartening to not see progress. I have this free program on my laptop I got at the Microsoft store that is called the Ab Challenge. It is a 30 day regimen that ups the challenge every day. It does give days of rest, too. It has the user do reps of situps, crunches, leg raises, and a plank. Being disabled, I have to modify the situps, but it is still a fairly rigorous workout that is easy to fit into any day.

If you've got the cash to spare, get a trainer.
It's helpful for some people because those are appointments that you have to keep. That can prevent you from slipping into the trap of deciding (for example) that you want to check your email first.....and then 5 minutes turns into the rest of the day and you still haven't exercised.

Only time I've ever agreed with Tony.
A personal trainer will change your life.

Well I just learned there's a really nifty gym next to me that also has a pool and offers a bunch of workout classes. Just signed up for a free 1-week trial and trying to go to bunch of the sessions to see if I want to sign up.
After pool and cardo/weightlifting session Monday and pilates today, my body is positively DYING.
The weird thing is the most sore part are my thighs which I would've thought would be the only fine part given all the biking I do. Hohum...

Just because you have endurance and/or power doesn't mean you have a lot of raw strength. You see that a lot of the time if you run. There's a lot of guys who can sprint all day long, but ask them to strap on a heavy pack and hike a few miles and they'll be dying by the time they get there.

Yakoob - squats and deadlifts. That's all.

The leg muscles being some of the largest in the body, you're generally going to be wasted the first time you do a proper workout that targets them with strength exercises. Good luck walking the next day! Don't do any strenuous cardio the day after, maybe some light stuff, give the muscles time to heal a bit before you start again (about 48 hours, though don't worry if you're sore much longer than that the first bunch of times you cross leg day).

This, but ONLY with a trainer to begin with. Poor form squats and deadlifts are how your fuck your lower back.

Kicked off 1 x boot camp and 1 x PT session this week, trying to get that to be a weekly thing.
At boot camp I felt like I was going to vomit. At the PT session I pulled a neck muscle doing my 9th chin up. I do the exercise good.
Next week we start the before and after photo routine... will be interesting to see what happens I guess.
