There are a ton of feminists out there. Only a very select few among these many run around screaming that referring to children by a gendered pronoun is a form of abuse, and all men should be castrated because masculinity is toxic by default. They hardly represent mainstream feminist thought. Don't treat them as if they do.
Also, they probably wouldn't be significantly different if they weren't feminists or even if they were anti-feminists. At least in my experience, obnoxious people are obnoxious no matter what ideas they are currently holding.

And the more they're ignored, the more that are passed in opposition. It becomes something of a vicious circle.
Here's how it usually goes:
Some kids die.
People scream for gun control.
You scream for your freedoms, and take a zero tolerance policy on the issue.
People take to the streets.
You make fun of them, calling them liberals, snowflakes, what have you.
New nonsense gun laws are passed, because the pro-gun control people were more proactive.
Some more kids die.
People scream for more gun control.
You scream for your freedoms, explaining that the previous set of laws didn't prevent it, so why do anything at all?
People take to the streets.
You make fun of them...
etc. etc. etc.
End result? More and more and more ineffective gun control laws. All you end up accomplishing is looking like a smug asshole who looks more concerned with waving your guns in front of a bunch of grieving parents while screaming "from my cold, dead hands" than you are actually addressing an issue that needs to be addressed.
There isn't a single parent in this country who will look at the corpse of their child slumped over in his desk, and say "well, this is the price we all pay for our freedoms." The more it happens, the more you shrug, laugh, and attempt to ignore it in response, the more you'll be marginalized.
If you want to save your guns, you're going to have to scrunch up your nose, and play the moderate.

Cakes aren't contributing to tens of thousands of deaths every year. Also, there are now more guns in America than ever before, so there's seems to be plenty of cake left.
Imagine if the analogy would be about owning a tiger instead. If a lot of people had tigers and a large amount of people would get mauled regularly, you'd be sure to see some regulation fast.

And the problem with obnoxious people is that they don't know they're obnoxious, mistaking their obnoxiousness for righteous fervor.
The same could be said of the tragically stupid.

It's more a play on the old saw that you can't have your cake and eat it too.
This is something we all need to be keeping in mind here.
JK speaks of compromise, right? Well, the compromise in this instance will be that the pro-gun contingent will be allowed to keep their semi-auto AR15's. The 2nd Amendment is writ large and bold. It isn't going anywhere anytime soon. If you think it is, you need to quickly dissuade yourself of the notion. You won't even be able to muster anywhere enough votes to kick off an amendment convention to remove it from the Constitution. Due to such, everyone has have every legal right to keep and treasure their guns, long and short, for the foreseeable future.
The compromise for the opposing contingent will be that there will be restrictions on these guns, background checks, training requirements, and relatively limited avenues of purchase. You can't have ALL your favorite accessories, and study after study after study will be allowed in an attempt to combat random mass shootings.
This won't solve all of our problems overnight. Hell, it won't even come close to solving all our problems period. But it could be a step in the right direction, at least. Which right now, moreso than anything, is what we need.

let's make a deal, what do you want and what are you willing to offer?
Already gave up a world without guns so it's all on you now
How about universal background checks, minimum proficiency testing, mandatory safety training, a cooling off period before delivery, restrictions on high capacity magazines and high rate of fire?
And how about a ban for people who use 'feminist' as a pejorative? Too soon?

lmao. You guys do have guns. Hell you have Norinco nice up there and SBRS , no problem with Bg checks, already have a wait limit here in CA and we do have basic firearms certification as well , no deal in the mags or high rate of fire , wait should only be for first time buyers and with all that crap we still got the San Bernardino shooters

Already over regulated in many states , Chicago for instance
