The piano part was awesome - the FM on the whole is too long I think, and thus - quite boring.
bukary - I played on 'Ghost' and finished it.
The third time they call the priest he refuses to come - the day after they should be leaving the house.
How about the 800+ loot ?

Yandros already said pretty much exactly what I would say (incredible design, but gets a bit repetitive). Only had trouble with the conversations at the start of each night, as about half of them wouldn't work unless I did a reload.
Heh, didn't think of holding the use key on the piano, only clicked. Have to go back and try that out.
0Sah - The priest did come the third time when I played it, but when not even that worked, the couple ran away the next day.

Everything worked ok for me except
when the priest would walk in he would keep walking into another room while the male noble was talking to him.
This was a pretty clever idea even though it was repetitive.

The reflective floor trick was done by Tels ages ago, one of the first demos. It wasn't even Darkloader compatible.
The custom motions in here were outstanding. Since I know most of the players in the motions game, I can probably guess the author. But I won't ruin the fun! :ebil:
And this is the first C5 mission I've seen that mentions me in the credits. :D
All in all, I think this one wins in technical wizardry! I can't wait to take it apart and see how some of it was done. Watching them eat the soup was very cool. The piano playing was awesome (although stealing my thunder for my next mission.) I need to see if it's a bend model or a regular motion modified for sitting.
Frobber, the guy sits at his desk and writes. You were looking for that motion, weren't you?
I wasn't able to turn the book pages, although I got everything else to work. What about the loot? A mistake? Or does a ghost need loot for something? (Maybe I could have bribed the priest to stay away). :joke:

Turning the book pages only works when nobody is about to read the book. As soon as an AI "decides" to go to the book, it's not frobbable anymore.

I am starting to mumble and ramble on just like they do. I
played the victorola and the piano but now they just stand there. I have walked through them a lot and still they just stand and mumble.:confused
Anybody know the combo to the safe?

[Edit]When I wrote this post, I really had just finished playing The Haunting, several weeks after I had finished editing it and sent it in.
After all the testing & bugfixing I had to do before it could finally be called 'playable', I was somewhat sick of the whole thing, but after that nice long break, I was actually pleasantly surprised and found myself quite enjoying the mission.
I tried to write an honest and unbiased account of what I thought, making sure, of course, to imply that the author was someone other than me!
I had to twist the truth a little about the author (myself) asking me for an upside-down mirrored telescope model, but I had to shift the suspicion away from me being the author.[/Edit]

I just finished this one, and I found it quite enjoyable.
As has been said before, after playing it for a while things begin to get a little bit repetitive, and some more variation would been very nice, but overall each of the nobles' activities and scare responses were fairly well executed, and the well-scripted dialoge had me laughing out loud.
The reflective floor was certainly impressive, even if the nobles didn't seem to make any footstep noises while walking on it. I had wondered why <the author> wanted an upside-down mirrored version of the telescope model as well as the normal one, but the obvious use for it is something along the lines of the strange rooms in 'The Sword'.
On the down side, the mission had more than a few bugs in it, mostly related to the AI's pathfinding, and at one point during my game the male noble was walking into a doorway for ages, until he finally decided to do something else.
Regarding the priest, how many of us followed him into the reflective-floor room when he first arrived, wondering what he was going to do, only to
be vaporised by his holy light for our curiosity?

I also remember hiding in the corner of the study next to the safe, as the waves of holy light slowly came closer, and breathing a sign of relief when they stopped a mere metre away from me!
@Shadowspawn:
Am I the only one who noticed the in-game credits list which thanked you, me, and one or two other people?
Look closely at the papers when he takes them out of the safe. It's hard to spot unless you use your Zoom In key.
This mission was sweeet! All the different spooky things you could do really made it fun!
The only complaint I have is that it took till night 8 for them to leave. Three or maybe four nights would be much better.
I just have to ask what the title is of that piano track.
I just heard it in "Broken Sword: The Shadow of the
Templars" too. I liked it, what is it called?
Other than that I can only say thanks for an amusing
mission (and somewhat original, though maybe a bit
too repetitive).
