I think Nameless said he didn't have time to make the different difficulties play differently.

hi everyone,
I have a question regarding the FM "The Haunting"
I guess most of you have already played it, so here's my question.
I have installed all the script packs needed to play it and I think the mission is working fine.
I'm however completely stuck.
I played the piano en turned the record player on. And I know the telescope and the clock above the fireplace can be turned. I also tried to open the save.
So am I missing something?
Thanks in advance

Iirc, you can't do it all in one "night" and there are various ways to scare the killers. Did you frob the salt on the table to put it in their soup? you gotta repeat it several times before they react. After 4 or 5 nights they'll be annoyed enough to call for a priest. Be careful to avoid his blessing spell - and save often cause he may get stuck.

how did you get this mission? it wasn't on thiefmissions.com or thief-thecircle.com

It's one of the missions that were entered in Komag's FM building contests. You can find them on his site (
http://www.keepofmetalandgold.com/) The Keep of Metal and Gold Check the left hand side for the paragraph about Contest 6. You can also find links to all the other contest entries at the bottom of that paragraph.

Exactly, that's where I got it from.

Well there's some pretty good ones made for contests on the keep's website.
If I were you I would check them out, they're worth playing. :thumb:

I'm missing a few because I still haven't added them. Other than the contest 4 and 5 missions and the T2 conversions of Thief Gold levels that I won't host due to copyright issues, that should be everything. If I'm missing something else, please let me know.

I must be missing more than something. I can't figure this mission out at all.
I can interact with several objects, but with the exception of the
phonograph,
nothing seems to cause any sort of reaction.
Regarding the "you can't do it all in one night" thing, exactly what does that mean? There are
two clocks in the mission, and both tell different times. And one is fast and the other slow, and one never changes the hour hand.
I am certainly not going to sit in front of it for several nights of realtime, so I assume that is not what was meant.
And if frobbing the salt,
means the gold container on the dining table,
it does nothing at all when I try to frob it.
After spending about an hour of real time waiting for something to happen, I gave up.
I'd like to figure this out, because the idea behind the mission is quite novel.
