Meisterdieb: i'd also like to see questions 1 and 2 answered. To answer the 3rd: yes, you can hear them say "this isn't right".
Great achievement with this one!
Original concept. Being a ghost, drifting through walls and doors, determined to scare your murders.
Those custom motions are incredible. See the AI eat, go to bed, playing piano.. very cool. Can't remember seeing them in any other mission i've played, which is a shame.
Liked the ways to scare the couple. Never would've figured out the
salt trick on my own ;).
No matter how fun it is at first, the routine get's a little boring day in day out. A hour is too long to keep this process interesting. Decreasing the number of days, or adding some more actions (extinguishing a gas lamp, opening the crane in the kitchen) so the player has more variation.
The exorcism ritual is a welcome alternation. Didn't heard
the man saying "I'll get a priest" at an evening, so i had no idea what to except when the visitor appeared the next day. Until he performed his ritual. :wot: Nice effect.
At a moment i thought it was game over, when a day change sequence no longer took place after i loaded an earlier save. But luckily leaving the game did the trick.
Nice work on the scenery and i enjoyed all the technical tricks :thumb:

I was planning to make a version 1.1 with some of the bugs fixed, some more scare types and actions, and an intro. Never quite got around to it though...
Do you still have the intention to release this, NV? Would be great to see an intro based on the description.
Another improvement would be redoing the voice of Lord Tralsius by another voice actor. It sounds too friendly right now. I almost feel sorry when they flee the house.

There is no time limit, though the "Night X" messages will stop appearing after 100 days. But surely no one would be mad enough to play it for that long?
I don't think there is any difference between the difficulty levels. I had originally planned to have the easier difficulty levels require fewer scares, but it was never implemented.
I lost the work that had been done towards a v1.1 in a hard disk crash, so it's unlikely that I'll be working on it again.

i think i have had it with this one! :erg:
took five nights of only ocassional reactions til the priest came - and then he just stands there in the foyer and i can't move! :grr:
wonderful FM in concept! but terribly flawed in execution, sorry! :nono: :tsktsk:
tried a few more times from a save just when priest arrives - niw he does his thing but i get killed cuz i can't move from foyer!
think i am just gonna let this one go!

I tried this mission after installing the new v1.19 and NewDark patches...
now it seems to work rather nicely.... aside from an occasional pathing problem and no voices with the killers....
as for when they call the priest in for an exorcism.... hide in the kitchen.. seems thats the only safe place. (more or less)
as for me...took me 12 nights to get them out....doing it all..
btw: the safe is right 4, 8, 1, 6
I must admit.. this is a VERY original mission..

DML fix to give all the decorative objects a zero value, making the end game stats more realistic.

I tried this one two times cause the first time I got pretty bored by it, but the second time I finished till the end. I think the idea is very original and definitely a nice fresh air, but I wish there´d be more variances and stuff to do. It´s a bit boring that you can only do the same things every night until well.. it ends. But definitely a nice diversion :thumb:

Yes, it was really more of a curiosity than anything else.
I think it would have been more interesting, gameplay-wise, if the player wasn't a ghost, and just had to convince the nobles that the house was haunted, without being seen.
Samantha1 on 3/7/2021 at 11:41
Now that sounds interesting aswell! :D It´d be also cool if you could do each day sth. else. and if their days´d be diverse aswell. like not just eating soup every day :cheeky:
