I know. I shouldn't be posting this after inselaffe's well worded argument against the ongoing drama, but...

So when it comes to software development, those at the top get to sabotage competition and manipulate the market through the use of EULAs and other things.
This is why I CHEER for Apple...
That's some hardcore cognitive dissonance right there. Apple, for all intents and purposes, are bigger bastards than MS has ever been. Microsoft is rather anticompetitive and dangerous for businesses, but have always continued to support their OSes well beyond their usual life expectancy, and are quite supportive of developers. They're great for end users. Hence the reason why they've got the biggest share of the OS market at the moment.
Apple, on the other hand, will drop support for their expensive products as soon as the next rev arrives, will deny developers room on their store for the most arbitrary of reasons (God forbid if someone releases a product even remotely similar to something they make), and are generally the biggest all around controlling tightwads in the business. Want an example? Just try to get a blu-ray player for a Mac. You can't. Know why? Probably because it'd compete directly with Apple's digital movie distribution on iTunes. You have NO choice there.
And this is the opinion of someone who generally likes Apple, if for their products, if not their practices. A hardcore guy like you should be absolutely frothing over at the mouth over everything they do, as they're the complete polar opposite of what FOSS and the Linux community usually stand for. Microsoft is just the happy medium here.

Let's pretend I'm a game developer. The more folks that use a Mac (forget Linux entirely here), the more reason I have to write my games using cross-platform standards like OpenGl. I can write my renderer once and have it work on Mac OS, Windows XP, and Windows 7. They will all have the same feature set. I win because I have to go through less work to maximize my potential market. You win because you can keep using XP and get the latest graphical effects that would otherwise require Windows 7. Thus, the more Macs that are sold, the more Mac gamers will be around and we PC gamers will benefit as a result.
If it were 45% Apple and 45% Windows, no developer would be stupid enough to lock them self into one side.

That's actually more sensible than anything lost_hole's ever posted! Good job!

It's mentioned in the bargains thread already, but as this thread ended up being resurrected for Humble Bundle #2, we might as well keep it going as new bundles crop up.
Anyhow, this is another great collection of games!
(
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=124305) Trine is all kinds of awesome, and you probably already own it.
"Shadowgrounds" and "Survivor" are 3D top-down Alien Breed/Swarm-ish shooters. I've only played Survivor, but it was a real blast, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
You also get a prototype where you run around with something akin to one of Dr Octopus' arms; and a pre-order for something cute but ambiguous called "Splot".
The main games are all cross-platform (Windows, Linux, and Mac) with some making debuts on the latter platforms; and all the games are DRM-free (which means I'm gladly throwing down a few dollars, despite owning them all already).

The Jack Claw prototype requires a 360 gamepad. (Source: some dude in the RPS commentssection)
Trine I've already played (and loved).
As for Shadowgrounds, I've never enjoyed any top-down shooters. Is there coop in this?
I'll probablly still get this bundle.

no coop in shadowgrounds. i loved them both, still.

IIRC "Shadowgrounds: Survivor" has co-op (I haven't played the original yet), but as with "Trine" there's no networking -- you need everyone on the same computer.
