yep, survivor has the "2 guys on 1 screen" type thing, does not work that well imo.

I just fired up the original Shadowgrounds, and it too has a same-machine co-op option.

Thanks for the info. I just bought it. For five dollars. Which ofcourse puts me in a morally superior position to the majority of my fellow Windows-users who paid on average a mere 4,18. However Mac and Linux users paid 6.09 and 11.75, so before them I must bow my head in shame as the lowly cheapskate that I am. :(
OK SHADOWGROUNDS IS DOWNLOADED LETS PLAY THIS MUTHA! :D

Don't really know where i stand on this one yet. Trine looks nice, not really sure about the others and still got loads of games to play. Probly convince myself to get it in the end.
One thing though - what is it with all these ‘indie’ games only support xbox 360 controllers? Is this something to do with them tying themselves to the xna framework thing or whatever it's called? Or is it simply because they can't be arsed?
Cos it really shouldn't be that difficult. Super meat boy is an excellently stupid example of this. The xbox pad is less than perfect in many ways, and the d-pad is high on that list.
You can get some software to hack your pad into pretending to be an xbox controller but i'm not sure how well that works or if there's any flakiness or lag. Hopefully it works well, but it's still not really an excuse.

Trine is brilliant, don't miss it if you haven't got it yet.
I do have Trine already, though, and I'm not sure I'm interested in any of the others... hmm.

Played the first two levels of Shadowgrounds and realized I've tried this before through GameTap. I was running it one a crappy computer that could barely run it then so I gave up on it pretty quick. Might give it more of a chance this time around. The presentation, gameplay and story hasn't impressed me so far however.
Jack Claw was fun. I was laughing with mad glee when I realized you can smash objects through the walls. I made (

Oh, Shadowgrounds' story isn't going to impress you, I guarantee. Though the incredible level of cornball cheesiness to it might. Survivor has better narrative/framing, but story's never really why you play them. You play them because they're Doom, top-down.

I already own Trine for PS3, but I'll probably pick it up for the soundtrack ;)
And give Shadowgrounds a shot as a result.
