What you find in the vault is
Some replacement explosive arrows. Very deadly but unless you can get behind something you'll likely blow yourself up with your target.
Be warned, they don't add to your existing explosive arrows, you'll lose any you've not used.
My most frightening moment was on Warrior when the zombie dropped from the ceiling a la Resident Evil. Never had that happen in a fan mission before.
That steam vent rocked. I got all 3 zombies and several haunts with it. I like how the haunts reacted to the damage by doubling over but the zombies kept plowing through it until they got gibbed.

Aha, that's where that Zombie came from :)

As I love undead missions, I loved this.. I cheated.. or did I?? it was a few months ago so i 4got... The 2 scariest parts for me is when i was in the room, and read the book -- i locked my child in the closet.. i opened it and saw a little zombie thwack me with his little hand and if i wasnt such a zombie lover i woulda fainted, the 2nd is the room accross from that when the flooded place you go in a few steps and u hear the screams... im not gonna talk anymore cuz ive already scared myself to death recalling those memories... the haunts r my most fav part.. the black haunts /w helmets r fun!!!
the war gauntlet is stupid.. they should replace it with a gatling gun or sumthing to build up my self-esteem in this zombified world of DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!! :p
1 last thing.. if anyone reads this.. what is comb for the vault???? or atleast tell me where you find it!!!
Ekim on 4/8/2002 at 10:01
Since you asked nicely,
The hints for the combination are in the inverted manse zipfile, in the 'books' folder with the filenames hint1.str to hint6.str - not hard to figure it if you have them all
Timmy was funny :)

Hi all,
just wanted to give my opinion on the Inverted Manse: the best fan mission I have ever played! I do not want to sound ignorant or pompous as I have not built any missions and am extremely grateful that people have taken the time to make FMs... but one of the reasons I loved Inverted Manse is that, unlike other missions, the mission changes with each difficulty level you play. With other missions you play, there is not much variation in each level which makes the replay value lower for me. Why play all three levels when they are practically the same? But in Inverted Manse, each of the three levels was different and exciting. This FM really got my blood pumping. Hats off and much praise for the builder!

If you really enjoy getting you blood pumping try out one the new contest FMs, Deceptive Preception , which I suspect was created by the same author. Just finished it and I'm very glad I wasn't playing it in the dark. You may want to make sure you can get to a hospital quickly just in case. Can't wait for the expanded FM on this one.:thumb:

If you want to play some other missions that have a lot of replay value, try Hidden Agenda and The Art of Thievery. When you start on Normal and work your way up, you get a lot replay out of these ones. :)

I'm on the catpurse level. I've done everything, but I can't find the exit to the manse. Little help here, please.

Welcome to the forum, kkilo! :)
On Cutpurse, you need to
go into the Factory and find the Church key, then go back to the Church and upstairs to a room that is locked. The Church Key unlocks it and inside this room you'll find the Factory Basement Key. Go back into the Factory, find the basement door (which is very close to the room with the second floor broken walkway) and head down into the basement.
:)
