My brother guessed the code from just one clue, I believe it was on rogue. I said "nah, can't be it, you need at least two clues", so I let it be. Turned out he was right when I finished cutpurse and warrior :p
And what you find in the vault, will make you superman, trust me ;)

Hey Zapman,
ILMAO, I'll let you know if I feel like superman.:laff:

What you get in the vault:
A balistic missle fire arrow with the properities of a broadhead and the blast radius of a sunburst
BadArm on 19/10/2002 at 05:42
So I've been playing around with what was in the vault, and it doesn't really make me feel like superman. The problem I'm having is with the Haunts.
The Ballistic arrows aren't good used too close, I only have 2 flashbombs, no mines, and the best way to kill the Haunts has been ruined. The best way was to sneak up behind them and do a back stab. But with this new glowing sword, as soon as I take it out, they see me and attack me. It seems that blackjacking a Haunt doesn't work either, even when he's unaware.
So what's the best way to deal with the Haunts in this mission?
I'd like to know one other thing. Can I expect to keep finding supplies in this mission, or do I have to pretty much make due with what I have? These Haunts are really frustrating. I want to take them out with Holy Water Arrows but I'll run out of arrows real quick if I do that. So is there going to be a decent supply of arrows and things, or what? I'm not fond of undead missions so I kind of feel like giving up, and playing some other mission. Can someone answer my question please. Thank you in advance.

It's been a while but I don't remember a shortage of supplies on either Cutpurse or Warrior settings. Did you find the war gauntlet or the acid bombs yet? I recall that the first item had a lower profile than the sword. Backstabbing the haunts didn't seem any harder than in the regular game, just stay in their blindspots. :thumb:

Hi Norman,
No, I didn't find either of those 2 things yet. Btw, I'm playing on Cutpurse. I keep forgetting to ask this, but does that Red Heart I have in my inventory do anything? So far I can't seem to figure it out. I forgot exactly what the heart is called.
Since you remember there being supplies to find I think I'll start using some holy water arrows to get rid of the Haunts. Those guys always did bug me, even back in T1. I think the only thing I hate worse are spiders, I hope there's not too many more of them around. Well, back to the game.

So how do you get into the basement? I found a note saying that's where the Gauntlet is, and besides that I think I have to go through there to progress. I tried using an explosive arrow on the door, but it didn't work. I can't pick the lock, so I'm assuming there's a key, but where. I've killed just about all the Haunts and I didn't see a key on any of them. I've also realized I'm better off with the Explosive arrow than the vault weapon, so I'll have to go back to a saved game. I'm on the verge of quitting this mission. Please tell me how I'm supposed to get into the basement? This mission just isn't coming together for me.

To get into the morgue (that's what the basement is after all) you need the
Church key, which is the same key you use to get into the locked room in the chapel, where you find the dairy of the last survivor. The key is found somewhere in the factory, in a locked money box on a desk if I remember it right.
Down there you'll find the War Gauntlet, and a few happy zombies too. Oh, and if you hate spiders, you're in for a BIG surprise, hehe.

Once you're in the Factory, look for an office that is very close to the room with the broken walkway hanging from the second floor. The box mentioned in the post above is in there.
The acid bombs are
in the courtyard where the big main doors into the church are found. From the courtyard where you start, go through the door that leads into a hallway patrolled by a big green spider. At the end of that passageway, you'll be in the correct courtyard. On the south side, there's a gate under an archway. You can't open the gate, but walk over under the archway and look above your head. There's another archway that you walk under elsewhere in the mission, with more equipment above it. There is also a door you can pick open off of the courtyard where you start and in there you'll find rope arrows and some broadheads. To get the latter, you need to rope arrow up to the beam above the door. The Gauntlet can be found in the Church basement, once you have the Church key from the factory. It's very useful and doesn't glow like the sword. If you sneak up behind a haunt, two blows with it will kill him.
The glow of the sword doesn't alert the haunts if you sneak up directly behind them, though. I find it quite easy to use. I actually just finished replaying this mission on Cutpurse, so all the details are quite fresh in my mind. If you need anymore help, just let me know. :)
