I am stuck in IM and don't know what to do now.
Just entered some sort of cathedral with a lot of walking hammer skeletons.
At the top of the cathedral is a small chapel with a locked wooden door.
How can I open it? I've tried everything. Lockpicks, explosive arrows, my sword, that red ruby, but nothing works
:nono:

First, with this mission you ALWAYS need to make it clear what difficulty setting you're playing on, as things change drastically between them. From your question, though, I believe you must be on Cutpurse.
You can't get into that room without the key. You need to get into the Factory and search for the "Church" key, then come back here.
You'll find that Cutpurse is a key hunt, at least in part. The other settings aren't. :)

I was also stuck in Inverted Manse (a few times!!!) which is how I came to join this forum, pleading for help;) If you type in Inverted Manse into the search box you will find loads of threads about this mission, some of which are very helpful. It is well worthwhile doing the mission on each difficulty setting as it really does change each time and is almost like a new mission. Its the best mission ever!

Wow, this FM is good...but I am stuck.
I am in the area where the hammer haunts are in a circular room, I sneak by into another room and try to steal this stone on a horned shaped thingy, but every time I go to touch it I say "ouch". How do I get it?
I have tried every arrow and other in my inventory on it and I still say "ouch" like I have been burned.
Would you help out a poor urchin theif?
(sorry for the bad description; I hav't played this mission in over a month and have kinda forgotten where I am)
THANK YOU!
(I have done an search and have found nothing about this)

What difficulty are you playing?
Nightwalker on 8/10/2003 at 13:16
Did you happen to
pick up a bottle in a room in this area that went into your inventory? If not, you need to go look for it. Once you have it, find somewhere to fill it and then "use" it like a bottle of holy water.
I finished this FM but I wanted to go back and explore some more. Some questions:
(1)
How does the big vault at the beginning work? I think I only saw one clue as to it's combination (first letter "B". I would appreciate a direct answer on this one because I have been trying forever to figure it out.
(2)
Is there a way into the cemetary at the beginning when you are still outside?
(3)
There were several doors at the beginning of the game that were frobable but I never found any keys for them. What's up with that? There are also two porticullisses inside upstairs at the beginning that appear to lead somewhere but I can't get by them. I did not find a use for the factory keu\y either.
Thanks for your help!

1) The code is
BANE
I never figured it out on my own either, Nightwalker helped me though.
2) None that I know of.
3) Always remember to play another difficulty, such a door might be an usual entrance route into the factory or such.
