I'm not sure but I don't THINK you have to find that key on Hard. Most of the "key hunt" is on Cutpurse. The other two settings have different styles of play and most of the church is inaccessible. I'm not even sure if you can get into the basement room, which is probably what you're trying to find the key for. Must be time to replay this one!
the only objective i don't have is the pagan tome of spells and escape....i don't understand why i have to restart?

She said it's time to replay because each difficulty setting is a different game. Collect the info in each setting to get the combination of the gigantic vault for a super-cool (but unnecessary) surprise thingy!
It's hard to give help on this FM because each setting has different things in different places.
As for the Tome, the only place I remember offhand is
get to a low place where there's a bunch of burricks(?)...there's a place where you insert stones. A magic bridge appears and the tome is on the other side somewhere.
This is all I know at the moment...I hope it helps?

Scary...
"JOIN US NOW! JOIN US NOW! JOIN US NOW!"
Wish me luck. :thumb:
Edit: I'm playing on Cutpurse. I'm not a huge fan of puzzles and an exploration mission just seemed more creepy than a zombie-fest.

Cutpurse is fun but the third difficulty level (Warrior?) adds another area not available on the others. (at least I think it's not available on Rogue which I didn't do since I don't like puzzle solving either).

I've gotten into the early areas of the plant. It's really good so far.
Anyone want to suggest which I should go for second? Sneaking is fun, but too many undead sometimes hurts the atmosphere for me. :erg:
What are the puzzles like in Rogue? Are they frustrating? Are they keyhunt or switch-hunting puzzles? Are there any missions you might compare Rogue to?

You've actually managed to create a post even more dull than the one about Soulforge in the general forum.

If you don't like undead, why are you playing the most famously undead-laden FM of them all?
Invisibility on 16/10/2004 at 16:11
I don't mean I don't like undead. I mean that too many undead make a mission less atmospheric for me. That isn't always a bad thing if it allows for good sneaking, but a mission packed with undead doesn't scare me as much as a more deserted mission.

playing inverted manse, if i reload a save it crashes to desktop and i get a message to submit a crash report to microsoft. this problem is a big deal and will prevent me from finishing this mission. i played two other missions today no crashes so its unique to this mission i think. i've added the safe texture manager line to user config thinking that it might be the problem.
Tulsidas on 27/10/2004 at 05:38
I'm just fresh from playing this very mission (on 98) and, well, didn't experience any crash. You may try loading a previous save. Or download the damn mission again. The 'safe texture manager' line works only when your screen goes black (that is, no graphics) on starting/loading a mission. As far as i know, it is specific to the graphic card and not the OS. Go try again.
