I need to dig out the pictures I have of him when we met. Such a nice guy.

Actually, Raen last posted about 2 years ago, but was logged into the boards here as recently as January. Plus, T2X was released in 2005, and you know he was around at that time and for a bit afterwards, including for the release of the "Making Of" package in 2008..

Didn't know Sledge had "joined professional ranks" (Belated) Congratulations!
I believe that Purah, Saturnine & DN have done the same.
Any more great Thief authors done this?

I believe Eshaktaar is working in the biz as well.

Only 13 years old? This FM will never grow old. Still interesting to play, and after several years I'm playing it again.
Need a hint, though. Playing on Warrior, and I can't remember where the switch is to open the door behind the banner that is just before the valve shut-off. Does anyone remember, and can help me?

That door doesn't have a banner over it on Cutpurse and you can open it on that difficulty level. I presume the banner was placed over it on this difficulty to make it inaccessible.
I honestly don't remember but judging from my old post above when I knew this inside out, you can't open it on anything but Cutpurse.

This FM was played by me on all levels many times. Thought I would never forget it, but when it was replayed recently it was as if it had not been played before. Hot diggity dog, a new FM! It took awhile to recognize it.
I will have to play on Cutpurse again because I don't remember what is behind that door.
Thanks Nightwalker for delving into old posts.

Just finished playing the Cutpurse level. You're right Nightwalker, there is no banner. The door leads to, or comes from the smelter room on this level. You don't need to use the cut-off valve as there is no killer steam.
One more question: I'm in the large black room looking up at a broken metal walk-way. There is a door at either end of the walk-way. How does a player get up to these doors? The wooden ceiling is too high for a rope arrow.
I know this is asking about an 'ancient' game.

I remember trying and trying to get up there. As far as I can recall, you're not really supposed to and the doors aren't frobbable.
It's fun sometimes to play one of these older, really good missions and see how well they stand up to the newer ones, isn't it? :)

I got up there last time I played. Think I used rope arrow + flare elevatoring. :cheeky:
Nightwalker is right, the doors are unfrobbable. There is nothing else to be found there either.
