Government in Australia handles
everything badly.
Are you an Aussie Koki? I'm just wondering what kind of knowledge you're basing this insightful statement on...

Koki is Polish, IIRC.

And he hates it.

Whatever, it's just a pretty dumb thing to say regardless.
On the topic of the filtering, I'm still very sceptical of how the government will go on this one. The Rudd government has been a fairly populist one to date (even the new budget, whilst brutal, will satisfy those who are crying out for action in the face of the economic "downturn"), so I find it hard to believe that they will just plough ahead with what so many people clealy dislike.
What frustrates me is how this blog has been set up to gauge public opinion, and yet the concerns of the public aren't really being addressed.

It's not dumb, though I would have added the caveat that government in ge- oh wait I did.
also lol "not like China" yeah sure
I think if you have to insist it's not going to be like China then you need to seriously reconsider your plan.

For the time being they should go back to disc checks because even though it's just as easily cracked, it renders moot the argument of the legitimate consumer being hurt by copy protection
Then why does SafeDisc prevent me from creating an ISO backup of my System Shock 2 CD?
Trance on 23/12/2008 at 05:08
DDump makes a copy of the SS2 disc just fine. Turn on the SafeDisc option in Daemon-Tools and there's no problems.
